No broker pays "compensation" for adverse market moves during service outages. Read your customer agreement.

Just called customer service and was brought to a message explaining they are experiencing a site wide outage causing users unable to login to their platforms among other things.

Every broker has you sign an electronic trading disclosure warning.

    I recommend having a back-up broker.

I recommend having enough juice in your account so this is not a worry.

    Go go futures.

Phones still work ? At ox/Schwab when we had hiccups we eliminated phone fees and put all hands on the phones. oX actually didn't have a phone charge - Schwab did so we waived it.

No matter how you read the agreement I would still reach out to FINRA. Opportunity profits are a pipedream, but until you know what went wrong you can't be a 100% certain about broker liability - especially if they are down over some negligent act.

  10. By user accounts, it had issues 1-2 hours before market closed. And then 10 min after it closed, it works again. The timing is quite something.

Happened on a friday with options expiration too. Can you imagine this happening on the big quad witching OPEX?
