Currency futures have options but does Forex have options? I think they traded somewhere but... OP- I can't see any benefit of having 2 opposing positions with short both calls and puts and thinking to keep margins lower on both instruments, one side of short options will be gaining faster than short option on other side, plus more fees. And you going to have to have 2 accounts
When I play craps I always play the come and don't come at the same time. I move all my winnings to the roulette wheel where I bet black, red and green. I then go to the baccarat table and bet both the bank and the player. It's genius!
I'd say it's all about being in the game in the first place... have something involved... bet heads AND tails... you always win something! Brilliant!!! Can't lose.... no pitfalls... absolutely a great thing to do...
Thanks for the replies. I shall look into creating 2 accounts and try to manage the positions and account balances. Does not seem like IB makes the whole process too easy though. My strategy is not a perfect hedge thus it does not equal flat trading. I just win more then I lose. Market goes up I win, market goes down I win. If I could predict the trend I'd win more in one direction and make more $$$ but rather safer then sorry. E.G. In the past year I had 20 long trades and 40 short trades on the same pair. Sometimes only a few trades in one direction and other times a few trades in both direction. I ended the year in a tidy profit so I'm happy. Cheers
