Interactive Brokers - Any standard Interface?

Discussion in 'Interactive Brokers' started by David Donner, Sep 21, 2021.

  1. I see Interactive Brokers has a webbroker interface where people can enter an order in a normal way. Just type buy, the number of shares, and the limit price, and the order is entered.
Apparently they are killing off the webbroker interface in a couple weeks.
Is there any quick way of entering orders besides the dreadful TWS mess?
All I want is a quick way to type an order in.
    Thank you!

Didn’t see any announcement that they will kill their web interface. Did I miss something?

Anyway, how about their mobile app?

  3. Where did you get this information?

Maybe the TradingView interface is coming out of beta?

  5. I find the TWS very easy but maybe if don't need the tools or want to spend a little bit of time to learn the basics, just use the client portal trade button which is as simple as it gets.

  6. TWS has two tabs right at the bottom of the UI. If you go to the "Classic" version you will see a very simple order entry form.

The "Mossaic" is the one that had most detractors. You can also configure it to have just the order entry you are looking for. It is worth spending a day setting it up to your liking.
