My IB tws ran just fine today! Why does: Bill Zimmerman Sales Transact Futures 312-431-1288 start a thread asking if IB went down after fomc? Ban this prick! What a weasel!
I dont use IB to trade but for back up qoutes and it was working well all day today on the qoute side, and it did not go down
Bill Zimmerman...Hahahahaha. That guy is hysterical. BTW--BRUT ECN was having major delay issues after the number dropped.
Hello Folks: You know it is interesting, I thought something was a little off when this first started (Mr. Zimmerman "inquiring" about my IB feed), and I mentioned my concerns on another thread. Pabst answered my post, saying that he knew the principals, and that they were all good folks. Yet we continue to get this strange kind of "inquiry" from someone who obviously dosen't trade with IB. This will probably get removed from the post, but I have to say it. This is precisely the kind of crap that make me wonder about brokers in general. I find it kind of irritating. Good luck, Steve46
Pabst 09-03-03 07:43 PM Even though we all frequently goof around here, the distinction between spam and content has been integral to the continued credibility of ET. Just because a Member advertises does not give him a right to spam in threads. IMO Brandon was better than most in that distinction, albeit probably more as an act of B.S. subtlety than of consideration to ET members. Bright is of course the most wickedly over the top, but one could argue at least you know what to expect from Don. What is not needed here are infomercials. News blended as ads, posts that pitch. Def does it about as right as it can be done. Helpful to his customers, partisan to his firm, and yet rarely showing up uninvited in an abstract thread to commercialize the conversation on behalf of IB.
IB down the past 7 minutes and counting. This is one of the longest downtimes I've ever seen. IB Bulletin now mentions this: 09:41 EST Some customers may experience connectivity issues. We are currently investigating. All other IB systems are functioning normally.
