So here are my questions after reading some of this thread... for anyone who considers them well versed in the necesary fields. What level of confidence do you have to say that human beings exist because of random chance. Would you say greater than 50 percent. Greater than 90% What level of confidence should the consensus be, before random chance is the only explantion given in a science class room. Now same two questions go for darwinism. And then the same two questions go for Evolution. --------------- After answering those questions. Please give me your explanation for how the universe came to be. What is your level of confidence? Should your belief be the only one taught in science classes?
What's sad about your example is that as observations became more refined, the theories changed. Consequently, so did our power to affect our futures. The same cannot be said about the witches did it theory. But I'll admit the witches did it theory is more appealing on some levels, particularly if they have big hooters.
This "random chance" stuff is just blather. It's random chance within an ordered (laws of physics) context. It takes two to make the dance. Ya know, in many ways you ID'ers are just not mystical enough for me.
The concept of a genuine fact of life, is that it doesn't change. Theories do change as perception and point of view changes, but since we haven't achieved any degree of absolute knowledge of life, then to embrace a theory as a FACT is not scientific. I know scientist want to teach what they believe is "most reasonable" as fact, but really what scientists teach so often is just the level of ignorance they have risen to.
"But I'll admit the witches did it theory is more appealing on some levels, particularly if they have big hooters." I second the motion. Your arguements make so little sense, as to in fact detract from the topic-and you started the topic-its all about big hooters, Z. Unless, you hadnt actually read all of darwins work, as i had, i hoped, erroneously surmised earlier, and the fact you havent mentioned them earlier just proves it near as i can tell.
You don't understand the definition of "fact" then. And don't bother CnP'ing it, we're discussing it in context.
False. Facts reflect reality, as we understand it. So when our understanding changes, so does "fact". "Witches did it" doesn't change, neither does it help. Unless they have.. well, nm.
"The concept of a genuine fact of life, is that it doesn't change.' WhaaaaaaaaahhhhT?????????? The only genuine fact of life IS constant CHANGE!!!! Nevermind, Z may never have seen h###ters, so i guess its ok.
