I'll spell it out for you ... it reduces "god" to a mere theory.

something the anti-religious should flip head-over-heels over ...

(the arrogant self-rigtheous, elitist, pricks shudder
even at the idea of theorizing about a god ... lunatic-fringe-bastards)

  2. Another refreshing example of that most favored of Christian values: love thy neighbor.

sorry, I need to refrain from acting childishly ...

I don't love my neighbors as a rule and don't pretend to. In fact, there are many people I completely loathe.

hmmmmmm, are you suggesting those actively working to kill the belief system that spawned the notion that one should love thy neighbors should be loved?

... the devout do, or at least pretend to.

my labeling someone a lunatic-fringe-bastard isn't done in hate, in fact some of my best friends are and have been athesiests to the bone. They fall short of mockign people though.

People should be left to believe what the want to believe without mock and ridicule. Now that the religious-right is losing gripe of the political dialog, perhaps there will be far less examples of religious bashing, perhaps not.

go to a museum if you're looking for inspiration, or to church for that matter. I'm no preacher.

  6. The mocking and ridicule is occuring because the religious right's claim of moral superiority. The day they admit to moral equality between the religious and the nonreligious, will be the day that the mocking and ridicule stop.

That will be the day when hell freezes over. And we'd all be there by then.

"moral equality" .......... now there is an oxymoron. how about "intelligence equality".

both the religious and nonreligious can act both morally and immorally.

If you don't care to live within the moral guidelines of what a particular religion mandates, it's a free country, you don't have to. And you don't need to be religous to have an opinion about the moral questions of our day. Breast implements for 15 year olds for example. (this is actually more of an ethical question...)

many religious people are suprisingly tolerant, you shouldn't judge people by the Jerry Falwells of the world ..

by the way, there are a hell of alot of christian democrats.

  8. True -

Just look at Clinton and Gore's record BEFORE they decided to go national.

Here's a hint - they were both 100% anti-abortion, because of their religious beliefs, more than likely......

But, power corrupts, so..... can you say flip flop ?

Was Darwin Right? National Geographic says yes again

National Geographic channel is airing an episode of Naked Science that I believe is a televised version of their recent "Was Darwin Right" issue. It airs at 10e/9c.

Perhaps you could explain more clearly why anyone would want to blindly accept Intelligent Design for any reason, but least of all to pretend in ...

    • "The belief there is a god, .... and he is the reason for everything

..and just how adding more dogma like that would do anything whatsoever anyway to...

    • "remove all religious dogma from the most profound of questions,
I'll spell it out for you ... it reduces "god" to a mere theory.
as you claim...without indulging again in what you have admitted to as acting childlessly.

Not wishing to presume too much but.. you can't can you?
Your "thought" is in fact, more a politically tainted baseless unsupportable outburst against what you consider to be anti-religious atheists of the left.

...erm... what was it you were saying about mock and ridicule?
