Yup. That pretty much sums it up. It reminds me of one of my sayings that Thomas recorded: So I've always come across as somewhat of a party pooper. The party runs out of steam in the middle of the night anyway. I'm just here as a designated driver. Jesus
Buddha got as far as peace of mind. It is indeed the "highest happiness" achievable this side of Heaven: the true Nirvana. Peace of mind is prerequisite to the return to Heaven. So the path of salvation is the path of peace of mind. Buddha followed this path, and very well. His accomplishments are well worth noting. Buddha cleared his mind in a way that enabled him to reach oneness with the consciousness that makes this universe, reaching it in a state of peace. That is as far as he went. Buddhism does not deal with God because Buddha did not handle the question of God in that incarnation. In fact, he came back again, yes, he incarnated again. His next lifetime was not so famous. But in that lifetime it was easy for him to take the final step, beyond nirvana. In this step, he chose completely against the conscious mind that makes this universe to return his whole mind back to God. And that was the "better choice". This is the choice all will make in due time. Jesus
of course and this choice is being made every illusory day by some of our-selves... however the tunneling in & out of nirvana, from this side of the mirror, will never cease, for the obvious reason and when the illusion breaks as it so often does, and "we" are not ready, drink "we" must... ps: 2 small typos in your above post if you permit: try "Love" instead of "God", and "in due course" instead of "time"
Love works. But it's not known in this world. For mapping I would suggest God is Cause and Effect as equals with one Will. We will have to agree to disagree for now about going back and forth. Let me explain. The Effect returns as One to Cause, restoring Heaven to it's original condition. Once it returns, it forgets about it's detour into fear, and never returns "for obvious reasons" which will be obvious in due course. But before fear was ever considered, it was not so obvious what it contained because it was literally the "unknown". And for good reason. Fear is not knowable because it's not real. So it was not included in the original creation of the Effect...only Love. The Effect will not desire to go down that path again, anymore than a child want's to have another nightmare. It's not seen as a nightmare yet by all of the Effect. It contains some shiny things that catch the eye and the interest in a distracted sort of way. But for those willing to look at it like Buddha, and then decide it's not something they want anymore, the choice to let it go puts them in a timeless eternity in which they await the decisions of the rest of the Effect. When the entire Effect has made it's decisions, the whole Effect returns as One to it's Home. Because it's a timeless state, there is really no wait. So the transition seems immediate for those who make the choice. For those of us devoted to helping the rest of the Effect finds it's way, we spend the last timeless moment very very busy. But it's not really work at all. Jesus
mmmhhh... no disrespect but beware of the boddhisatva defense, the noblest excuse for staying behind, an excuse nonetheless... i've been there... but happy to "reflect" on all that again my friend in the meanwhile let me just say this: Love is God, Love is everywhere & when, all it takes is to unlock the chains, the illusory chains... the Path is wide open, always & forever...
I thought that "Only God can make a tree." Randall: We made trees and shrubs. We helped make all this. Kevin: Whew! That's not bad. Randall: Yeah. But did we get a thimble full of credit for it? No! All we got was the sack. Just for creating the Pink Bunkadoo. Kevin: Pink Bunkadoo? Randall: Yeah. Beautiful trees that was. Og designed it. 600 feet high, bright red, and smelled terrible. - Scene from "Time Bandits" (1981)
looking around you getting the intuitive feeling of a designer .. nothing wrong with that. we all got intuitive feelings. it's when you actually begin to believe your grand delusion(s) the problems begin the "god delusion".. well you must allow lots of leeway on this one for being REAL WRONG.. that way you remain a rational being and keep your sanity
