Let's just say that the Son of God is responsible for this world, not his Father. The Father does not interact with it anymore than a father reacts to the dream of a child who is having a bad dream. Instead, he gently wakes the child so as not to frighten him any more than he already is. The fact is, reality terrifies the sleeping Son, and if reality were imposed on him all at once, he would surely lose his mind. So it's a gradual process of millennium. The physical universe mocks both the Father and the Son. It would obliterate and kill them if it could get it's hands on them. It serves to block light and truth, so what evidence for the true God would it provide for it's captive denizens? If ever any of it's denizens got a sample experience of the Son, they would leave in droves. The reason there is this lingering idea of "hot coals" in the subconscious mind is because deep down, it is still believed that this is a succesful attack on the Father, and damage has been done. Because the Son is the same as the Father, it is sensed also as an attack on Self in every way possible. The consciousness that makes the maker of this world feels guilty as hell for condemning the Son, and makes the world to alleviate the heat while continuing the attack to the finish. The form of attack is legion. Take childbirth for example. How is that not an attack by design? The consciousness that makes this world is like an alternate Self, limited by a lack of knowledge, and existing solely upon fiat of belief. It's all a trick of a very powerful mind. It makes decisions, whereas, in reality, there is no such thing as a decision. Four divisive decisions were made leading to the Big Bang(s) and a tree of divisive decisions leads to one's experience in the world. A family tree is nothing. Rather, it's the decision tree that leads to your position in the world that matters. You are required to follow that tree back to the beginning, where decision began, in order to bring an end to this experience. The very first decision was about whether or not it's possible to be separate from the Father. A judgement was made followed by the development of chaos in a very logical, step by step order. This precipitated a descent into "hell", an awful conflict in the mind which begets first guilt, and then fear to cover it. The physical world arises to solve this problem. My point is this. You are already sitting on a pile of hot coals. The good news is that the first decision was a mistake that can be corrected by acceptance of the truth: It is not possible to be separate from the Father, or for the Son to divide and change from One to legion. Thus, the whole universe is premised on a false belief, leading to a complex false belief system. Energy itself is entirely a belief in this new thought system based on separation. It is the evidence of fear itself, the agitated building block of an anxious world. You will journey through cycles of birth and death until this truth is accepted completely without compromise. Now, a million years from now, the power of decision is in your hands. Pass by this truth, but you cannot pass it up. It will not pass away until all is fulfilled. Then the end of time will come. Meanwhile, reality is so terrifying, that many will feel compelled to put the truth on ignore for a while longer. Fear not. Reality is magnificent. It cannot ever hurt you. Jesus
What, 601 pages, and no consensus. It can't be that difficult, surely. Are they the same inherent principle, or are they not? Or is the real issue, that nobody actually knows squat about anything truly meaningfull, regarding the very essence of humanity, consiousness, or even the nature of anything at all via the previous benchmarks. i'll vote again, that intelligent design IS creationism, due to overwhelming , near total, similiarities in conceptualisation, as argued by participants. Can we wrap it up now? Please?
What are the similarities in conceptualization that you have observed? I would describe the maker of this world in the terms you stated. If man exibits these characteristics, it is because he is like the maker, and the maker is like him. Jesus
mate, we've moved on... seems this ID aka creationism-in-disguise thing is v.much an american phenomenon anyway, with perhaps a few me-too bozos in Europe and elsewhere but basically we've got tons of religious scientists and nobody has a problem with that where i come from, as long as people understand what the scientific approach is (and its limitations of course), and challenge it of course, since that's intrinsically part of the scientific approach to do so, but to make it better, not to wrap it up into holy leaves and mystical fumes... now we're babbling over other loosely related stuff, some good some plain boring, peppered by zizzzo's mental diarrheas here and there... the hallmarks of a good thread mesays! cheerio
any volunteers? http://www.spacedaily.com/reports/SETI_Project_Looking_For_More_Volunteers_999.html i think the odds of life being pretty much everywhere to be found in this observable universe are higher than "us" being the only ones... by faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar....... anybody got any proof to the contrary? (just trying to keep this thread going, as if it weren't clear )) its less depressing than most of the other US pre-election mud slinging threads methinks...)
Ok I'll bite. This solar system does not provide the right light for the more complex organizations that would be thought of as evolution. Man did not evolve from apes. DNA and RNA gets around the universe best described by the term "panspermia". On Earth, the influence of seeding exceeds evolution. What's seen is mostly adaptation. There was a migration to Mars from another planet, and from Mars to earth. There will be unambiguous contact in this century with beings from another planet. It will also be confirmed there was evidence of civilization on Mars. On Earth, more civilizations have come and gone than most realize. The establishment is not yet ready to hear from scientists how much longer man has been here than fits current models. It's also not ready to hear from some quantum physicists that it's all an illusion and that duality is a myth. It is one thing appearing as many, and the existence of the one thing can be questioned also. Crop circles come from the same unconscious/conscious mind that sets-up this illusion of a universe. It basically toys with your head so you keep looking for answers out there somewhere, and never figure it out. Got proof to the contrary? Ok, you can go back to the presidential threads now. Maybe one of them will save you! Jesus
its the mirror(s) we've dealt our-selves in order to keep our-good-selves entertained don't forget... its not much fun to be sitting by one-self alone as one big fat illusional universe and no audience is it?
No, I guess not, based on the evidence. But you know me. I always point to a reality beyond the 'conscious one' which makes this universe of time. That reality is plenty satisfying, so much so that it's actually too intense for rapid assimilation. Most have to approach it slow. Otherwise, the transition could be terrorizing. No one here knows how to handle a peak orgasm that never ends. Consciousness isn't all it's cracked up to be. If it was, why would it need to split up to keep itself entertained? Jesus
but thats the whole purpose of being here and now, is is not? inward looking type escapism, mirrors all around our illusory brain constructs etc... a break away from nirvana... for as long as "we" like... however many "lives"... under whatever convenient excuse as "we" may feel "we" need under the circumstances "we" surround "our-many-multiple-selves" with... let's call that "causality" so we may discuss it with our-multiple-selves... one "thing" seemingly leading to an-other... and this illusory transitions we'll call the "passage of time"... or so the story goes... what else should "we" be doing? besides nirvana, what better choice my friend?
