Intelligent Design is not creationism

  1. of course it's incomplete, and there is no hard reason to "believe" that yet another "theory of everything" when we have one, will ever be "complete" either, all the contrary and that's the beauty!!!... but a transcendental god type principle as the all-answering machine has been tried before... while it's a one-out-of-many school of thought in the spiritual realm, it's of no use whatsoever as far as science is concerned...

  2. Very good. This is worth more than 2cents.

There will never be a unified theory of the universe that will hold up over time, because the universe isn't really based on the thought of unity - it's based on the thought of separation and division. However, it includes fascinating and ingenious patterns that help to give it the illusion of unity.

So there's no reason to be impressed by every new discovery or theory about the universe. If superstrings can make gravity work at both the Newtonian and sub-atomic levels...so what? An illusion is still an illusion.

A basic premise of this universe is the idea of separation from God, and this idea is symbolized everywhere. Time itself is symbolic of this idea (past separated from the future, one moment separated from the next). Forms and the space between forms are symbolic of it. Other symbols include, but are not limited to: death (parting of loved ones, personality from body), broken relationships (parting ways), childbirth (+post partum depression), traumas separating good times from bad times...on and on.

Let us be glad that the universe and the brains in it have nothing to do with God, and that there's a way to return to His universe.

The bad news is that every possible scenario in which the theme of separation can be symbolized has been scripted out. Thus, the universe works like a wind-up toy. It is a closed system.

Bodies follow scripts...like pre-programmed wind-up toys...designed to think they are independent...and that they can think. They embark on journeys that have already been taken. You think you have "deja vu" moments, but your entire life, from birth to death is a deja vu moment. All your lives put together are a deja vu moment. All decisions that move you into parallel universes to experience other outcomes...all deja vu. All decisions that let you live a life over again to see what happens with other choices...deja vu.

You see, there is only the appearance of choice and chance. That's part of the script. This is to say that you have no freedom in this universe. Nothing happens by chance, and there is no creativity.

It bids you to seek, but not to find. Scientists must follow this script, just as the theologian must. For any theologian that makes the maker of this universe socially acceptable is just as much a robot as the scientist who seeks for origins in slime balls. Been there, done that. All artistic projects and creative ventures? Done already! All witty jokes? Been told already! You think you can come up with something "original". Nope. You can die trying, only to find out that the time of your death was pre-set...so not even that was original. Then the time of your next birth is pre-set. Again, not original.

You may have heard that God makes the good parts of this universe, and man makes the bad parts. I have news: God makes no parts...not fire, not the water, not the air, not the earth.

An idea makes it. It was a bad idea...so to speak. It does not hold water. The idea is so not real, that this universe actually has no true cause and therefore no real effects.

The good news is that there are really only two choices:

1.) Follow the script that grievances perpetuate. Be a slave.
2.) Forgive, and set yourself free.

Forgiveness is the only really creative thing you can do in this universe that does not obey the script. It is the only thing a robot can do, other than be a robot. Forgiveness actually collapses time and space, saving you the trouble of walking around like a robot. Full forgiveness removes you from the time/space script entirely into the eternal "always".

Seeing the situation as it is...is a kind of forgiveness. That is why your post is worth more than 2cents. It's a real time saver. This is to say that every seemingly separate being in this universe will forgive fully...at which time, the universe will fade away...disappear.

  3. this is good... you are at sunyata's gate... take your time and explore further... as you know, there is more to this illusory world than first meets the 3rd eye ;-)

re-member that causality is essentially a mind construct, a useful (necessary, in a sense) survival tool for self-reproductive, self-referencing type sentient constructs, and why it is that way... re-member that dichotomy is just another such selection-type tool, but that they are not the only ones "available" to aid explore the illusion... and that it is equally true that there are an infinite number of options / choices available at any "present moment"... that the illusion is unfathomably unbound and limitless, and that "chance" is as pervasive a "pivot" function as any other (incl causal type)

... that the quest, is the purpose...

safe and ever enjoyable journey to you my friend

I think Teleologist might be a Scientologist.

  5. This parallels the purpose "seek, and do not find". It is the purpose of this universe, if it could possibly have one.

My point is that this "purpose" is invalid and meaningless...that true purpose is found another way.

  6. that too is true :) ... but re-member what came "out" of what you termed "forgiveness"... and why...

  7. Indeed, from another perspective: questing = seeking = wandering. Wandering is what the "prodigal Son" does...until he wearies. This is the "far away" land he comes to. In this land, there is no one else but him...appearing in the form of various bodies having various experiences. He's been down every road, every path, every hi-way and byway, every alley, every dire straight. He wanders a meaningless world, begun on a faulty premise, where supplies are scarce, and love is hard to come by.

The world will end in forgiveness because it began in unforgiveness. It will end in happiness, because it began in sadness. It will end with freedom, because it began with slavery. It will end with holiness, because it began with an idea of separation. It will end with innocence, because it began with an idea of guilt.

There is a network of unforgiveness that literally holds time and space in place. Forgiveness literally dismantles it, collapsing time and space with each effort. A master learns to forgive automatically, like breathing. There is no time between the 'offense' and the forgiveness. Yes, all is forgiven before offenses come. In this way, he exits time, and enters the timeless now.

    Jesus:)

  9. ... and in the timeless now there is no beginning no end, no cause no because, no bound no boundary...

but i must go now... thank you for the conversation my friend, and farewell

  10. I know the difference between fact and assertion.

I know the difference between theory and opinion.

I know the difference bewteen ZTroll and a man of character.

I know the difference between God and a goldfish.

I know the difference between ID and Creation (there isn't one).

    Are you a Scientologist?

Also, do you believe that God created life on earth? You have been pussyfooting around that question, and disavowing any belief in a connection between this mysterious designer and God.

I'll bet you avoid this question or come up with some lame-o reason why you won't answer it.

Oh yes, I forgot. 'Designed' does not imply a designer. It was designed but there was no designer.

    What a load of rubbish.
