With respect to this issue - I am reserving judgment on that until you deliver facts not opinions. Are you saying Susskind refuted this statement from his interview with New Scientist? If we do not accept the landscape idea are we stuck with intelligent design? I doubt that physicists will see it that way. If, for some unforeseen reason, the landscape turns out to be inconsistent - maybe for mathematical reasons, or because it disagrees with observation - I am pretty sure that physicists will go on searching for natural explanations of the world. But I have to say that if that happens, as things stand now we will be in a very awkward position. Without any explanation of nature's fine-tunings we will be hard pressed to answer the ID critics. One might argue that the hope that a mathematically unique solution will emerge is as faith-based as ID. If you are saying he refuted that statement - please provide in context statemetents from Susskind. Oh yea one more fact? Were you an active and licensed member of a state bar or the Washington D.C. bar, as of yesterday? Just checking.

I'll even admit to having a big ego. However, I am not a liar. Not here, and not anywhere else. Never, ever, ever, ever...really, I believe this, yessssssireeeeee I really do.
If you actually cared about acquiring knowledge, rather than merely winning a ridiculous argument in this stupid forum, you would write Dr. Susskind yourself, and ask him your own questions. Because, no matter what evidence I produce here, you will simply claim my comments are untrustworthy. But, as I've already stated: I'm quite satisfied with what I've learned from this exchange of information. So, if you're content to continue to repeat out-of-context quotes as a means of maintaining your incorrect beliefs, rather than to try to acquire any new or better understanding -- that's you're problem, not mine.
I noticed you did not answer the question about whether you had a current license to practice law as of yesterday.

Could it be possible he couldn't get licensed by the bar because he is not a liar, here or anywhere else? Really, I had no idea we had lawyers out there who never, ever, ever, ever lie... We have a society where nearly everyone lies at some point and time, white lies, small fibs, but we have an attorney in our presence who never, ever, ever, lies, not even to telemarketers, salesmen, etc. Amazing to find such a moral and honest human being who is above lying or deception to appear here at ET to grace us with his comments... No need for a lie detector test either, as we heard that never, ever is a lie told...not even a white lie, not even a fib...
I am not degrading you at all from my point of view. I am singing your praises of not being "a liar. Not here, and not anywhere else." It is quite rare I believe, and in my experience, to find someone who never lies under any circumstance, having to go back to perhaps George Washington or Jesus Christ to find some who is "not a liar. Not here and not anywhere else." So sorry you interpret my praise of you as degrading...quite the reverse. If in any way you thought I was degrading you, and I agreed with your point of view, I would of course sincerely apologize, and would take great steps to be very careful in what I write so that hopefully you or others don't misinterpret my comments or my motive...but I am not degrading you, I am praising you. Again, nothing but praise for you who is "not a liar. Not here and not anywhere else." Such praise might embarrass you, as you have shown us all such humility, but really, perhaps the whole world should know that we have amongst us someone who is "not a liar. Not here and not anywhere else." Really, I would like to take every opportunity to sing your praises by creating new threads in both the P&R and Chit Chat section to spread the good news, so others who are not reading this thread would also know of you are "not a liar. Not here and not anywhere else." However, I am thinking, given your humility, that would only cause embarrassment to have such attention and large amounts of praise directed your way, so I will just keep it within this thread for now. But I may just have to tell others, actually...what an exciting experience for me, renewing my faith in humanity, wanting others to have the good news too, to have found someone who is "not a liar. Not here and not anywhere else." We see such lying and corruption at times in nearly every institution and walk of life in America, and to know that someone exists who is "not a liar. Not here and not anywhere else" especially in a profession that is often thought of by at least a few as a profession in which lying is common. Of course I don't think this way, but I have heard others express such concepts. In fact, if someone were to Google the following: "Do lawyers lie?" the response is 1,370,000 hits in .14 seconds. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=do+lawyers+lie?&btnG=Search In fact, there is even a book entitled "Why Lawyers Lie" by Attorney Mark Perlmutter. The link below: http://www.civtrial.com/article_lie.doc So, if I do get carried away in my enthusiasm of sharing this magnificent aspect of your personality with other ET members, hopefully you will understand and accept all the praise and adulation with the same degree of humility you have shown in the past... p.s. Not going to mention the spelling error in your comments below...there really is no need for such things, right?
Your obvious sarcasm above just reinforces your intent to degrade and harass. Now, you're expanding your contempt to the entire legal profession. jem called me a liar. I reminded him of his ethical duties. You found my reminder to be inappropriate. I explained that I found being called a liar offensive. You have now exploited my comments several times as a means of ridiculing me for taking offense at being called a liar without any proof. I find your actions degrading and harassing -- not just to me, but in this last post, to the entire legal profession. I think a retraction on your part is called for -- don't you?
