while I see your point... I consider it a cheap shot when you take a dig at someone else while addressing a different argument or person. I consider the declaration you cited to be an example of a direct shot at anyone attacking typos. But i am not saying you have to agree to my nomenclature.
Well, at least your spelling is improving. Attention to detail is the mark of an organized mind. I don't know why I'm giving you advice which will make your posts appear (marginally more) credible. Call it an undying optimism about my fellow man.
Ah right. God is not special and the universe is not real. Thanks, it goes some way to explain to me the content of your posts in general. Dare I ask! Is God real in your world? Do you imagine Heaven is real and if so, what is it about reality which would make heaven or God real , but not the universe? A real special intelligent designer perhaps? stu
What makes a creation real is a combination of wills to create...the combination of the Will of the Father and the will of the Son. Each will is equal in power. Each member of the Sonship has equal will power. Not only is this universe not the Will of the Father, it is not ultimately even the will of the Son. Basically, it's not really what you want! It's like a child's toy. Nothing in this universe is worthy of you. An alternative will was made up just to get this far, one that opposes every law in Heaven. The result is a world that contradicts everything that is real, is backwards and upside down. For example, everything in this world is little, based on littleness. Everything in Heaven is about magnitude. This world is about separation, Heaven is about unity. This world is about comparisons and hierarchy. Heaven is about equality and sameness. This world hides truth. Heaven is truth. This world is based on perception. Heaven is based on knowledge. This world is based on change. Heaven is changeless. Heaven is about the good, the holy and the beautiful. This world is about the good, bad and the ugly. This universe is founded upon the energy of fear which is traced back to indecision and doubt. This world is founded on faith, belief, and perceptions where nothing can ever be known. Heaven needs none of these, asking no questions, for all is known. This world is based on a "lack of communication". In Heaven, communication is perfect. Having one foot in Heaven and one foot in hell, believing in two opposing powers...this has led to the "fall" of a divided house, and rendered us weak, imprisoned in bodies. You have the power to release your brother from illusions, or bind him still longer. That is what forgiveness is. Your release is bound to his. Released from illusions, you have power to bring forth the miracle that stands behind every "problem"...every law that opposes the laws of Creation. The miracle establishes you dream a dream, and it's content is not true. This is a crucial step in dealing with illusions. No one is afraid of dreams when he perceives he made them up. The fear is held in place because the dreamer does not see that he is author of the dream, and not a figure in the dream. So when it comes right down to it, this world is causeless, as is every dream that anyone has dreamed within the world. No plans are possible, and no design exists that could be found and understood. What else could be expected from a thing that has no cause? The "big bang" is not really a "cause". It is an effect preceded first by an explosion in consciousness relative to ideas about separation - opposite of the unity in Heaven. This cannot happen but in a dream...a little wish not backed by real Will. A dream is not a cause. And if it has no cause, it has no purpose. You may cause a dream, but never will you give it real effects. A miracle tells you there are no effects, and therefore no real cause. When someone walks on water for example, either you are dreaming, or, you are dreaming. The dreamer of a dream is not awake, but does not know he sleeps. He sees illusions of himself as sick or well, depressed or happy, but without a stable cause with guaranteed effects. When someone asked Buddha if he was enlightened, he replied, "I am awake". Awake from what? The "maya" - the illusion - of this world. Note well that "Adam" in Genesis fell asleep. It does not say he woke up. When he does, that will be the "second coming of Christ". As a Son of God, you have true creations of your own. This universe is not really one of them. Be aware however, that the same intelligence that goes into the creating of creations in Heaven is the same intelligence that dreams up the making of this world. And that intelligence is intent on self-deception. All you can really see is evidence for the shear power of the Son of God, not much the sanity of the Son. For if this world is real, God is insane. Jesus
Nomenclature refers to a method of assigning (unique) names. What method did you use to assign the name "cheap shot" to certain posts? It sure was not a definition otherwise you would've used "my definition" instead of "my nomenclature." According to this "nomenclature," "Z10's snowflake self" and "jem's quantum rocket," both refering to real posts, are cheap shots, but "tweedle dee and tweedle dumb" are not. Whether you like it or not, "jem's nomenclature" will be another enduring gem on ET.
Yes, God is. God is love. Love is the only thing that is real. This universe is built on fear, therefore does not exist. Love is not known in this world. What you do have is charity...the ability to see beyond your brother's weakness, and see the Son of God instead. Perfect love casts out all fear. You cannot fear and love at the same time. The good news is that you are love, therefore you are Heaven. Heaven is obscured while you hide your light under a bushel. It can never be taken from you. It is always there, unchanged. That is why I said, "the Kingdom of God is within you". It is not within a body. That is not "you". Here is the logic in a nutshell: Perfect love casts out fear. If fear exists, Then there is not perfect love. But: Only perfect love exists. If there is fear, It produces a state that does not exist. Jesus
I didn't know logic grows on nut trees. Have you ever heard of the barber's paradox? It is related to a problem in set theory, that whether a set defined by "not being a member of any set" can have a member. Your logic belongs right there. Can "a state that does not exist" be produced (ie be made to exist)?
You say God is real ok. But the universe is not. Now if you are not feeling too obstinate or too wordy, can you please kindly answer the question I have already asked of you. What is it about reality which would make God real but not the Universe. less than 500 words if possible. thanks stu
Mr. Bond said: You're distorting yet another scientist's words to suite your needs. Here is my original post in this thread (the relevant part): "Here is a good analogy. Once I asked one of my military friends what he considered as a great general. His answer was that if someone won five major battles in a row then he would be considered a great general. Then I asked what he thought the percentage of great generals were among all the generals in history. He thought about it for awhile, and then answered, "maybe 3%." I laughed. If you flip coins 5 straight times, the chance of 5 straight heads is 3%! So were these 3% really great generals, or were they just lucky? As a feeble human, I don't think we will ever know the answer to that question... ----------------------------- Jem says I really can not imagine being a scientist and not realizing that battles are not the same as independent coin flips. Can you imagine applying your same logic to say Bjorn Borg when he won five Wimbledons.
