I always hear about mid Q updates just a few days before , I didn't know about that one until yesterday. Later yesterday I even heard a guy on Bloomberg saying it was after the close (i.e.wednesday ). Same with analyst meetings . How do you find out about those events without going through all the individual co's looking for important events? (besides december 5 is not really mid Q) Also how come the news came out right after the close today, I thought the conference call was scheduled at 5:30 ET?
Briefing has an events calendar which list analyst meetings and midquarter updates. Companies will often publish a press release before the actual call.
