  1. anyone know how to run a screen to identify the stocks with the highest % institutional ownership?

thanks in advance - appreicate it...

  2. You might try the yahoo finance stock screener. I haven't used it in a while, but check it out. Also, "Mytrack.com" for sure has the info, which you may need to link to a spreadsheet.

    Good luck,

as a general rule (for me at least) i try to stay away from stocks with TOO much institutional ownership. I want to be less than 50%...preferably less than 25%.

    reason being:

    1. Play with the big boys...you may get hurt
    2. The price tends to go up significantly when institutions START to buy, not when they already own it. but twhen there is large institutioal selling (meaning there was lots of ownership before) it will drive the price down.

I like the IDB top 100 list for longs (although i cant say jump into longs right now). it has high EPS growth, High relative strengh...fair liquidity...with lower institutional ownership.

    good luck.
