I read on a technical_but_not_really_technical analysis book from 2 well known traders about the fact daily volume must be reported , my consequent hunch would be who trades a "daily and above timeframes" should be much less concerned about seeing not real volume, because DP do not influence the volume EOD (End of the Day), would like to hear from experts about if my assumption is partially true.

----- From the book momentum traders:
S2-3: Have “dark pools” changed the way you analyze volume?

Minervini: No. Although volume could be skewed a bit intraday and affect extrapolation, all volume data are included in the end-of-the-day tally, and that’s the number I focus on the most.

Zanger: Volume is the mother’s milk of momentum investing and is essential to price movement. The volume in dark pools is still factored in by the end of the
day, so the total tally of shares can still be seen, albeit late. Personally, I have not noticed much impact by dark pools since they have come of age.

I already know and please contradict me if i am wrong:
    1) There are a lot of tricks as cancelling orders to show a not real volume
    2) Some major first bracket brokers, inv banks are indicted to compensate transactions without reporting
    3) Minor capitalized stocks can be pumped but usually volume is more reliable because there is not liquidity possibility to enter for big whales
    4) Futures do not have DP, and is an important reason day traders professionals may prefer them, together with easy short and liquidity characteristics
