  1. I have a 128MB nVidia GeForce 8300 GS running in my system and I am adding a Nvidia quadro 280 NVS. Do I need to uninstall my existing vga driver before I begin the installation?

    thanks

  2. It's usually best to do so to avoid any driver conflicts. Make sure you get the latest drivers from the Nv website before you start.

  3. All these drivers are unified in single package; so you don't have to uninstall the old one. Your computer should pick the right driver automatically.

  4. gnome

    gnome

You can even run the NVS cards without installing an Nvidia driver. WinXP has a library driver which works just fine.
