I have a friend who is into gaming. He turned me on to www.ibuypower.com

Of course since I'm still a student, I dont have much to put down on a new computer, but I have around 1k, I have 2 monitors in my house that will get the job done for awhile.

anyway, I have selected these specs for a custom build, I would like some input from people here on these specs...thanks!!

i will not buy the monitors from this website...I can pick up a 21.5 inch samsung from sams for $130...so for $260 I can get 2 21.5 inch for only $30 more then the 23 inch from Ibuypower.

So defintely a better deal to go to sams...

  3. That power supply seems pretty light.

Since you have specs, go to newegg and see what it would cost you to build your own.

All in all that seems pretty expensive.

I just built a PC for my girlfriend for CDN $720 + tax ... at this price she got an i3-3225, 8Gb RAM and RAID-1 (2 x 500GB), plus a very nice case (I have the same case for an i7-3930K / Noctua NH-D14 / 64GB RAM).

Add $100 to get an i5 plus $55 for an extra 8Gb RAM, that would make it $870 ($810 w/o RAID-1).

I have been interested in building a computer since I have been trying to choose one.

But I think I will still have someone build my first one. I have no idea what I would be doing trying to put all of the parts together!

I'm leaning towards this model that I put up...as the person above u said the power supply is a little light, so I will up that.

Maybe I will search around my city and see if someone could put my computer together for me....:)
