  1. I've visited the Innerworth site, and now get the email newsletter regularly. I like the many quotations each one has (in fact I save the newsletters just for that. ) But I have to tell you that the cartoons need to have their quality raised. To me they are positively annoying and off putting. They look amateurish. Their rumor is often heavy handed. And some of jokes are about traders losing or being wiped all altogether. I know 90% of traders lose, but I suspect its not something they want to focus on or joke about. At least IMHO.

PS: I hope you are not the one contributing the cartoons. Sorry to hurt your feelings if so.

Not at all, Main Framer... feedback is good. I like comics, (ours doesn't do much for me, but is doesn't bug me either) but your comment reminds me of something from my journalism days, we had editors of some pretty major papers as guest speakers and they told us that two of the biggest comment generators they had was on the comics, when a strip was added or dropped, and the ink.

Family Circle? Makes me gag. Too sweet. And I've got a kid who says stuff like that and love it when it comes out of her mouth, but I wish they'd quit wasting the ink on it. Pretty strong reaction... for a comic strip huh?

Humor is a tough medium. Sometimes it rubs people the wrong way. I'll certainly pass your comment on. I'm glad I found this thread. (Like your quote/sig by the way.)

    Responding to Carl:

What does Innerworth charge per month/year? $29.95 a month.
Is Ed Seykota a contributor to the site? Not currently. He's on the advisory board and does not contribute content.

  3. From the ET mailer:

Tomorrow's Chat: Improve Your Trading with Emotional Control

Join Townsend Analytics, Ltd. on Tuesday, July 16th at 4:30 PM EST for a chat session on improving your trading with emotional control. Innerworth is the leader in trading and market psychology and their goal is to help traders develop the mental edge necessary to be a great trader. The session will include question and answer sessions with Richard Knox – Advisory Board Member of Innerworth. Here’s your chance to learn how RealTick users are using Innerworth to enhance their trading decisions.

FWIW, I've never seen this Richard Knox post on Innerworth's forum, but he is indeed listed on their site (you have to dig for it) as an Advisory Board member:

Richard Knox, who conceived and is continuing to develop Innerworth’s Investing Methods section, has been actively trading and investing in stocks, commodities and cash government securities since the late 1970’s. A past member of the Chicago Board of Trade and Chicago International Monetary Market, he is President of Advanced Trading Methods, a company that develops investing methodology and systems using proactive money management techniques, and also advises institutional clients. Prior to founding Advanced Trading Methods, Mr. Knox was a Vice President with CQG, Inc. (leading vendor of market data/analysis) for 10 years, during which he started CQG’s trading division – Franklin Trading. There he was responsible for all trading, systems development, and operations.http://www.atmstudies.com

Anyone going to check it out?
I've never been to a chat on ET...

  4. Seykota is probably somewhere in the background but his picture is all you are going to get from IW.

Instead of Seykota you get a bunch of two bit traders being interviewed who answer pretty much according to script.

The real key to Innerworth is the assessment tests & the insights. You gotta be careful there though, there is allot of psycho-babble and touch me feel me stuff.

  6. Or is it that you resemble that remark?

Have you ever been back to see what people asked/said of you? No...Just a hit and run like your trading style

Heya, Amadeus... I'd hardly call Mark Douglas, Tom Joseph, Alan Farley, Bill Lupien or Mike Quanbeck "two bit traders". And while it's true you often see the pat response, much like a ball player who says, "I'm just happy to be here"... I've always gleaned at least one new perspective on a trading issue in each interview.

And often times, it's what isn't said, or even a red flag that you see in their approach that might not work for you. Every interview has helped me... including Dustin's! ::winks::

Wow...I'm not sure what that is supposed to mean, but yes I did look at the comments posted about me. I didn't see any questions at the time.

  10. "I am insulted! I resemble that remark"
Groucho Marx in Day at the Races...I guess you never saw the movie? It was a joke ;-) and nothing personal.

Well Dustin you were mistaken. Too bad about that as I would have liked to hear your response.
