Hackers should be able to locate which computers innervoice/NY HOOD / FORTUNE TELLER / STORM SURGE... are using.

@FortuneTeller comes across as a typical fake Christian who was brought up in the "cult" without knowing what true Christianity is.

Innershit came across as a card carrying KKK member.

They both spank the Monkey obviously. But @FortuneTeller has to remember that God, Jesus and all his deceased relatives are watching.... and probably crying.

What do you mean by you've "gotten feedback from him" (Baron) after you used the report feature ???

    1. A direct message reply

    2. No reply but action is taken even if it's not the action you requested

Also, Baron has stated several times that banned members only need to change IP address or use a VPN to avoid detection as a banned member...he's not able to determine if the new member is a prior banned member because of the IP address change / VPN.

In today's technology, ISP providers offers free VPN services, browsers offers free VPN services or members and use stand alone VPN software. Thus, VPN is easily available.

My point, people who are banned do read these conversations here in the feedback too without needing to log in. They then change their IP address/VPN and return to Elitetrader.com to create a new user name all on the same day after being banned...continuing their chaos at the forum because they either dislike Magna/Baron or dislike ET members they have a grudge against.

In my opinion, we don't know if someone is banned permanently, or a temporary ban (although I never heard of the phrase used as "time-out") until we ask that question...

What happen to XYZ member or where is XYZ member ???

Baron should put the words "banned" or "temporarily banned" beneath the username as a way to inform members what happened to the member along with putting the IP Address beneath the username of banned members.

In fact, I think IP addresses should be shown beneath our user name whenever we log-in with each message posted by the member. I know forum owners at other forums (not related to the financial markets) that show the IP address of the member...others show the IP address at the bottom of each message post.

Those forum owners have stated it reduced the number of people creating multiple accounts and it helps other members to see who's changing their IP address/VPN in a suspicious manner. For example, one day you're logged in from Seoul, Korea. Later, the next message post shows that you're logged in from Orlando, Florida with the messages only minutes apart or a few hours apart.

The point is to show who is changing the IP address and the time/location of each change. :D

Simply, those who are banned should lose their right to privacy and there should be a list posted that keeps track of members that are banned, date & reason for the ban...viewable to the entire forum. At the minimum, in the profile of a banned member, put the words "banned" with the shown IP address banned instead of the current practice of DELETING the profile as if the member never existed.

P.S. I'm posting right now from Québec, Canada. Baron/Magna can see that but you do not know that unless I tell you. What harm is it to the forum to show my IP address at the bottom of this message post ???

Other times I post from Illinois, South Dakota, Kentucky, France, and maybe a few times from Ithaca, New York depending upon the time of year or vacation.

Yet, I have read somewhere (can't remember where)...showing a member's IP address at a forum (info made available to those not a moderator/forum owner) results in litigation, especially the IP address of members that are posting from Europe.

P.S.S. One day while using a new laptop and a new browser, I checked my IP address and it displayed an IP address from Arkansas, United States when I was actually at a friend's home in Denver, Colorado. :D

The next day, it showed an IP address in Idaho even though I had never been there. I logged in using my personal hotspot on my cell phone...more secure than using my friends WiFi.

  8. I trudged my way through this post.

I think it initially calls for all members IP addresses to be noted under their user names.

If you don't fall asleep, several paragraphs later, the poster then admits that the listing of IP addresses can result in litigation.

Three different messages that I decided to merge into one.

I have another post (decided not to post it nor merge it into one you refer to as a long post) for people like you who measure post lengths.

Actually, initially (please read the first paragraph with question marks), it is a question about the way Baron responds to Overnight about a complaint/use of the report button.

P.S. I don't post like someone using Twitter/X. No fun in acting as if this is like Twitter/X.

    P.S.S. You're lucky I don't include images.
