Germany till 2021 had a friendly import tax exemption (ie. duty-free) of about €26.30 for all imports from China (and from all other non-EU countries). This allowed poor people to buy cheap products in China etc. Unfortunately the govt stopped this program in 2021. But now in 2022 where inflation is soaring, poor people more than ever desperately need cheap products to survive, it would be a good idea to continue the program. IMO, other countries should do the same, to give the mass of poor people at least a hope for getting some products cheaper...
