Here's an inflation busting car to counter all the US guzzlers.

    The new Volkswagen Polo Bluemotion

70 miles to the gallon. Reckon it will be a BIG seller and should hold its price on the 2nd hand market very well.

If you currently drive a big car and have plenty of money then why not buy this to take the kids to school and run quick errands around town?

Coming to the UK in the summer, donj't know about the US but I would expect to see a trend of these styles of cars over the next several years (all over the world).

  4. You're the one who's saying all your woes come from illegal immigrants. I'm simply stating that your immigration laws created an incentive for both illegal immigration and outsourcing.

As long as the laws remain the incentive remains, and there's money to be made by those who see that.

In order to bring this threat back to it's track, it's worth mentioning that migratory restrictions do tend to have an inflationary effect as they keep wages artificially high, and that eliminating such restrictions would have a deflationary effect reducing costs throughout the economy.

  5. Interesting.

Even though addressing your personal oil consumption will have a positive effect in your finances, reducing your fixed costs. The bulk of the inflationary effects of oil doesn't come from cars but rather from increased costs in logistics that translate in higher prices of most goods [transportation of goods becomes more expensive... cargo ships, and trucks run on oil...]
as well as higher utility prices in places where electricity is produced using thermal plants.

    love the fed minutes

"The Fed now expects inflation to be between 2.1 percent and 2.4 percent this year. That's higher than its old forecast for inflation, which was estimated to come in at around 1.8 percent to 2.1 percent."

2 percent HA HA HA HA HA HA

"Ben then knocked over a lamp with his nose, which had grown considerably during the conference'

  9. Economic policy set by those who neither buy groceries, nor gasoline.

Hey, lying is what the Bush years were all about. You didn't think that policy stopped with the Iraq war, did you?
