you can focus on conservation of what you have or you can focus on producing more than you need but you can't do them both - pick one and do it well.
The food I buy has not come down at all, not one penny. That's the number I use. is it 4%, 5%, 10% I have no idea, for me its double percent
If it doesn't go up for a year you will say inflation is zero which is the number Biden will spew repeatedly to the American public. He will say that zero inflation is the reason he should get reelected. It is hogwash. However as one wag once said you can never go broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.
It will probably come down at some point, but without doubt are food prices across the board higher than 10% from a year ago. In Canada it's even worse. Regulators have just fined bread makers for collusion in 2011. Hopelessly behind the curve. We are living in a smash and grab economy. Companies get away with virtually anything. Not unlike criminals in liberal states.
5 bucks per 100 gram (=3.5 ounces) in supermarkets in the Canadian Pacific northwest. Unbelievable given the abundance of salmon here. Makes recreational fishing all that more rewarding, neighbors and friends offer me all sorts of stuff to trade for salmon I catch in the July - October months ;-)
And its probably so much better tasting. I'm headed to Seattle- Vancouver rv adventuring in September. Or at least that's the initial route. it might change to Portland - San fran. hitting a couple of parks.
