Yes they have been cool, we have a lot more early morning trends than before September now, so I have been taking some dynamic S/R trades too. I am not really the biggest fan of trading in December so am taking it easy generally.
Hi everyone Please find attached todays levels. The S/R numbers are in the black column, the MP, Pivots, Fibs, Simple Moving Averages and Summary Numbers are for confluence and information. Always remember to use the numbers as a guideline for potential areas of high probability plays. Always use a set up based upon your system to enter a trade . Good trading all

Hi everyone In a former life I used to work in IT developing systems for organisations. Its an interest I hope to revive with trading in mind. I was wondering if anyone can direct me to any sources of information for automated trading systems. 1. Any good websites for information on automated systems? forums, sites, etc. 2. Examples of systems that work, can be in fx, futures....anything.
Hi I work in IT too. 1 - I am using Ninjatrader and I'm very happy with it. So I suggest starting there if you know C++, C# or Java. 2 - This is a bit more complicated, my experience is all the published systems that I've found either don't work or they give so few trading opportunities that it's not worth it. Here is a book I found interesting even though I can't get any of these strategies to work: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/09...inkCode=xm2&camp=1789&creativeASIN=0965046109

Very much so epetrov, around a 1/3 maybe more of all trading by hedge funds is based upon automated algorithms, sometimes just to facilitate accumulation of a position. In many cases black box strategies, entering, exiting and managing themselves. They say program trading was what caused the 1987 crash. I think things have come a long way since then. Ed Seykotas work is pretty interesting. Thanks for your input Cunparis, this seems to be a very interesting new challenge to take on.
Sure it can but the problem is coordinating the process from seeing the trade, executing the trade, managing the trade, and exiting the trade. Charting software and trading platforms are at the level yet to combine this process with any consistent success. That is left up to industrious individuals that can program this process on their own.
