Hi ESR, just taken me three days to read thru this entire thread. Excellent stuff and thank you.

    Just a couple of questions.

First, are you completely self taught? i.e. are these techniques a result of several years reading carefully selected books combined with your own (talented and intuitive) observations? Also, I remember you said you had professional friends/connections in financial trading - did you learn some of these techniques from them and then go on to develop them to suit your style of trading?

Secondly, I've read that sometimes newly discovered technical patterns that work only do so until they become widely known/used - after that they seem to become less effective. Do you agree with this and does it bother you at all?

I personally don't agree with above because I think if a method or system has good grounding on solid principals then its effectiveness should not be easily eroded.

Thanks again for a great thread. I have some of my own observations I'd like to share with you but not sure if I should do that privately or post here.

p.s. I don't see any numbers in the black column - it's just a black space

  2. ****LEVELS FOR NQ, YM AND ES****

    Hi everyone

Please find attached todays levels. The S/R numbers are in the black column, the MP, Pivots, Fibs, Simple Moving Averages and Summary Numbers are for confluence and information.

Always remember to use the numbers as a guideline for potential areas of high probability plays.

Always use a set up based upon your system to enter a trade.

    Good trading all

    ESR,

How long did it take you to learn to trade this method well enough to be consistently profitable?

  7. Hi Sync apologies for being a bit slow in replying, been very very busy.

Basically I started trading a few years ago with a www.simple-as-123.net and the mentorship of Marsh Jones, a great man who sadly passed, I would highly recommend checking his site out and buying his ebook all proceeds go to his widow I believe.

Under his (and lavs) teaching I developed my PA reading skills and discovered a set up that I liked ($TICK extreme). I was reasonably profitable with his method in general. I spent some time refining/simplifying it to the method I use now. I take fewer trades but make more. In a nut shell took me around 2years to get consistent that time involved developing my method, mental conditioning etc.
