  1. Hi everyone

Please find attached todays levels. The S/R numbers are in the black column, the MP, Pivots, Fibs, Simple Moving Averages and Summary Numbers are for confluence and information.

Always remember to use the numbers as a guideline for potential areas of high probability plays.

Always use a set up based upon your system to enter a trade.

    Good trading all

  2. xburbx,

My bid/ask volume and tick analysis routine uses T&S data but goes significantly beyond the usual T&S presentation.

Most important, this analysis contains the T&S data within a constant range bar thereby permitting comparisons of buyer/seller aggressiveness.

Please PM me if you have further questions.

  3. Hi guys

Finished my personal trading a bit early today. Its barely even 7am EST so to fight the boredom I thought I would have a go at putting some stuff together for the other indexes.

Attached is the YM (dow emini)

  5. Nice listings, but do you have a chart to show your figures a bit more graphically?

  7. OK

Thats all 3 major indexes posted.

Thought for the day: If you were in your car and it started rolling towards the edge of a cliff, you would press the brakes wouldnt you? You wouldnt hope that the car would just stop would you?

Why not do the same with trading? If your trade is failing...cut it off. Always another one around the corner

I just found this thread, your sharing of info is quite refreshing.

Are your profile numbers from the previous day only? do you carry them forward?

I know another trader very much like you(extremely successful) with trade management and used profile levels but he would calculate a 3 day and 10 day profile to see where the money sat.

  9. The Market profile/ Volume profile stuff, is a newer part of my arsenal and I have found it to be a great aid. The VAH, VAL and POC on the worksheets is previous day, I only really carry forward the POCs, the virgin POCs (POCs that havnt been filled by subsequent price action).

I do keep an eye on the 10 day stuff, but not really that often. If your friend likes the 3 and 10 day stuff, I will sure to pay some attention to it and see if it adds to the edge.

    Thanks for your message

  10. Just to be clear. It was volume based, and the software would allow to use however many days of data desired to calculate the profile. 3-10-20 days were most used. We did not use the VAH, VAL as much as just noting where the heavy volume took place. Than would watch those areas. He used an Ergodic divergence and a shift in the buy-sell volume(delta) for a trigger. It was his trade management, patience and discipline that created superior results. Your style reminded me of him. Very similar.

I just started looking through this thread last night. I have not seen any mention of triggers or setups for entry in these areas. I did see a reference to the NYSE tick once. It is very likely there is something in here I have yet to discover. I use volume as a guide but would find discussion about triggers for entries to be a valuable endeavor. Blindly using these zones can lead to more shirts in the closet with tire tracks on them. (as you all well know by now)
