  1. so every family can have their personal god? That's kind cool, I pick Stewie Griffin as the deity for my family.

  5. How can India overtake China when China will be estimated $123 Trillion economy in 2040. (if there is no world war 3).

At present world GDP is estimated $65 Trillion.

Has anyone actually been to India and seen what a complete mess its infrastructure is? It's not even 3rd world, more like 5th.

For example, I think the country has 1 proper 3 lane motorway but then has donkey carts and cows going up and down. I spoke to an Indian lady on a plane coming back to London and she lived in a town about 100 miles north of Mumbai, her road trip to the airport took about 7 hours which she said was normal.

I got a first class train ticket in Mumbai to travel from north to south (Mumbai) and it was about 10th class compared to Europe or the US.

And as for the homeless that's just offensive for a country that everyone raves about. Whole families sleeping on the street at night everywhere you go.

Shame on the Indian government and no excuse, they've had 50+ years of independence to sort the matter out, or at least make a serious dent in the problem. I get the impression from middle class Indians (who incidentally treat lower class citizens like pieces of trash) that it's just something that shouldn't be discussed or mentioned, better to boast about your latest iPhone etc.

Summary: India might have a lot of people and it might have a growing middle class but without proper foundations (solid infrastructure) I cannot see how the country advances and in fact doesn't collapse under its own incompetence.

Sure, prices are riding high on the stock exchange but what about 'value'?

  7. India is a God fearing country. So I think development is not that important for India. God created mountains, rivers and nature. Human beings invented infrastructure and technology.

  8. Only thing I admire indians is many of them feel really good about themselves.

In China, if one employee is underperforming, his adviser will threaten him:" You will take next India trip.."

  9. Cuba will overtake Haiti as well

Who cares about third world countries?
They are nothing as they all depend on USA consumption
