True, My country certainly squanders 10's of billions annually for exorbitant healthcare costs. That's for sure. I live in US and I am citizen of this country. What is this to do with tariff's? Is it a new rule which i am not aware, where Tariff's are imposed based on cleanliness of the country.
It is literally not and economies don't scale 1:1 from state to state (who benefit from by-and-large the same governing body) and country-to-country (rules by different people with different standards). But hey, thanks for accusing me of promoting socialism and claiming I strawmanned you. Enjoy my ignore list.
Why does US not do business with North Korea? Several factors. Similarily, countries that "grossly violate" human ethics by not doing a simple task of keeping clean and making efforts to curb pollution etc.............should be barred from doing business by those countries that care about "human ethics". This should be the new norm !!
What? Are you for real? First i have heard US is not doing business because of country is not doing simple task of keeping clean. US has long ago gave up moral high-ground. They are in bed with a country, who tortured and killed US permanent resident By the way, trump wants build condo's and resort in North Korea. https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-says-north-korea-beaches-great-place-for-hotels-condos-2018-6
Saudi keeping women in veil, not allowing them driving or working rights etc. or jailing/beating up few thousands of anti government elements..........is a violation of "human ethics". However, that is NOT on the scale of India "invisibly" hurting 100s of millions via its "environmental unfriendly" practices or NK enforcing communism on 10s of millions of its population. Trust me, leave White House/Congress out of this, even when a major corporation like Apple, Walmart or 3M etc. refuse to "entertain" businesses with "wrong doers", a sudden jump in corrective action will be seen from the what so called............poor, destitute, improvised, helpless Third World countries....................talk about teaching a hungry man how to fish.
https://www.arabamericannews.com/2019/05/31/yemen-death-toll-could-hit-233000-by-2020/ Yemen death toll could hit 233,000 by 2020 The death toll in Yemen could reach 233,000 by the year 2020 as part of what the United Nations calls “humanity’s greatest preventable disaster”, a 60-page report has said. Sixty percent of the projected death toll could be children under the age of 5, according to the report, titled “Assessing the impact of war on development in Yemen.” The projected death count includes 102,000 killed in combat and 131,000 who are projected to die due to a lack of food, health services and infrastructure in the war, and represents a significant increase on the latest death toll compiled by the global mapping group the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED), which said last week that 70,000 people have died in the war since 2016. According to the U.N., more than 24 million people, or 80 percent of the country, now rely on humanitarian aid, while 13 million are at risk of starvation. The report added that the conflict was morphing into a “war on children”, with one child dying every 12 minutes within Yemen’s borders. By 2022 more than 330,000 children could be killed, which would account for nearly 70 percent of the total war death toll.
