Index options on gold?

I know about options on GLD etf, but is there a way to trade options on gold price with european-style options similar to SPX (cash settled, no assignment till expiration etc.)?

 

I have been wondering this as well.

 

GC options on gold futures can be traded on CME globex at interactive brokers. Open 23 hours a day.

 

since gold has no dividend it would be extremely rare to get assigned earlier on
