Index futures timing

  1. MT-

You're getting real good at this.

There is an obvious time signature that you missed today, it is easily overlooked, check your work.

Just a side note, I'm interested in seeing what happens on 07/02 at ≈ 11:00 hrs. The "pay attention" time becomes more defined the closer we get to it.

I would guess the end of the macro program that we are in now and the start of the holiday when everything goes flat.

  2. MoveTimer,

I just made my first profitable "MoveTimer" trade today off of your system. Buying at 13406 at 1112 EST and a quick sell at 13423 at 1115 EST as I wasn't sure if the high would break.

My reaction line was at roughly 13401 which was half the 1 minute bar range of 1030 EST.

    Thanks!

  3. Thanks alot for posting these times, I like looking at them before the market opens and keeping them in mind. It was one of the reasons I kept patient until ES made new daily highs at around 12:40 before I took my short trade. I knew I wanted to short in that zone, but this just helped confirm it in my head.

  4. Glad to hear. I hope you did not miss nice 12/40 short. You are absolutely correct with 13426 exit - if the market does not break HOD/LOD on heavy volume it is better to exit and don't give money back. I have exited my 12/40 short at 13390 and I do not care about "potential" profit. Just my opinion, of course.

  5. Nice work! Don't forget about levels related to pivot times, these levels are more important than strict time points.

  8. 06/28 Look at 09/50 13/00 14/30

Remember I use mathematical model which doesn't know anything about FOMC. So 14/30 point is just a coincidence.
