Hang in there. We share your pain. The same thought crossed my mind multiple time since I started trading full time in 2010. I am sure many if not most traders have similar thoughts during their journey. One suggestion is there are more than one way to trade, you don't have to give it up and move to something else. You can do both. Over the years I developed two methods, 80% of my trading capitals are in positions I hold, typically for over a year each, the balance 20% I trade options. I am trying to make it a three legged stool: Add day trading to the mix. It is still work in progress, a struggle.
Good Morning Laissez Faire, I perfectly understand what you mean sir. I think everything works in trading, just depends on what we want from the ES market and when we want it.
Good Morning hilmy83, TRUST me when I say I understand how you feel. A similar trade like that happen to me yesterday and I loss, now I am in drawdown. Just stay focus
Good thing is I'm taking smaller loss then I have taken in the past. Few days should recover instead of weeks or months
Good Morning hilmy83, Yes, I agree with you 1000%. It is about one thing, IMO, and that one thing is: How to Mentally, Logistically, Mentally Pleasing, Comfortably, equity curve 45 degrees and growing....... Recover Drawdown!!!! And that is different for everyone. One of my trading systems has been in drawdown for 1.5 years. Mentally, that did not work for me.
