Index Component Change Alerts

  1. From where can i get alerts when an index like the S&P 500 adds or deletes a stock?

  2. Thanks for the link. What i was looking for is actually a website that would send an alert by email whenever an addition/deletion occurs on say the S&P 500 or the Nasdaq 100. That way i would not have to check that website daily to see if an addition/deletion has occurred. Any other ideas?

  3. I'm also looking for a site that will send me an email update out when toy story 4 comes out ?
    any thoughts on that?

  4. there are no websites that do that. your best bet is to hit refresh here http://www2.standardandpoors.com/po...0,0,0,0,0,0,0.html?lid=us_fo_overview_indices at 5:15 EST everyday.

  5. cashonly

    you can get it here:

To get alerts, go to one of the myriad of sites that allow you to create an RSS feed on other sites and then set up your RSS news reader to access the feed for whenever you want to check it.

  6. the only problem with that is the releases come too late. you will see people crossing stuff up right after it is released on the s&p site at 5:15 est.

  7. Focus on "hot" stocks that are likely to be included and any laggards or restructured companies that are likely to be removed. You can set up your pairs-trade with them.
