Change lists faster than you can flip trades.

My guess is you see something move and oh I gotta trade that....

This has simply become some bad entertainment!

Not hoping you blow up - just watching for the inevitable.

Cause you lack experience !!!! I am not trying to insult, but unless you have backtested your method over a huge amount of data , you have no idea of how to trade. Day trading different futures is not going to make you prosper, I prefer to specialize in one market, ES, I have learned reoccuring patterns, learned the nuances of this market, when not to take signals and when to double up. But bouncing around different markets, you will never be able to learn each market has it's own personality. And even within the same group, the ES trades different than the Dow, just like the Yen trades different than the Euro market. Also time of a market is different, ES day session trades different than other hours of trade.

And if I was to trade grains, it would be Corn, boring is good. Consistent profits, preservation of capital is the way to go. Big moves are inconsisent in day trading, I concentrate on my losing weekly performance being very small, which means I will have many breakeven trades of 1-2 tics and about equal amount of profitable trades. I do not concern about making big profit trades, those are those who trade larger timeframes.

But still comes down to a well backtested method, then you will know when to exit.

Yes, this seems to be the most common refrain among the new entrants. OP, allow me to regurgitate what I wrote elsewhere:

    • So you want to be remembered as the jack-of-all-trades or what? :D

I don't know how long you've been trading but this is the number one sin committed by novice traders, who have bad tendency of forgetting who they're up against. Well, who else but the professionals who devote their entire career trading the same instrument day in and day out, 24/7? They know their game inside out like the back of their hands. Just what are the odds of beating them in their own game when you're so poorly prepared?

Trading should be treated no different from any other vocation, be it medicine, jurisprudence or car repair for that matter. Let's take a doctor for example. How often do you see a brain surgeon performing a heart-bypass? How many times do you see a lawyer jumping from a civil trial one day to a criminal trial next? Even in the auto repair shop, I'm told that you're better off specializing in either one of the two: mechanical or electrical. As a result, society functions better. But when it comes to trading, oh no, you're told more is always better. You're encouraged to jump through various hoops as if that would make your resumé look better. In reality, that's the fastest way to the poorhouse IMHO.

As my mama used to say, dig one well at a time. And I say you should specialize. Just my otherwise worthless 2-cents.

  4. Not once in over 50 pages have you proven that you are really live trading. Saying you are up or down doesn't prove anything. Your word, yes YOUR word, is meaningless.

Asking for advice or help, saying you definitely will start doing this or that and then doing the complete opposite for at least 2+ yrs, shows that you are not really serious at all. It's really twisted of you to keep playing this game with people who, for the most part, are actually trying to help you fix your trading.

  6. Will you at least answer your audience as to why you refuse to post an execution report, that which can be used (by us) to possibly help you stop blowing up your account?
