I question the source.... since the person being quoted is not found in any other mainstream news source.... and a quote like this from a witness would be all over the coverage across the U.S.
I know its a Pandemic and a lot of businesses will take clients whenever they can get a client regardless how the client looks. They'll research his online internet history, social media postings, talk to workers at his job or past jobs including talking to his friends to determine his real motive...to determine if it was in fact a Hate Crime. It's something the prosecution will look into also regardless what the police discover in their investigation. Regardless, he's going to prison for life if the police / prosecution finds no motive. It's critical investigation when the prosecution decides to pursue the Death Penalty in Georgia because Georgia in fact allows capital punishment since 1973. Let me provide my take on this sad situation. This guy (the criminal shooter) was a frequent customer at these establishments. In his statement to police, the guy claimed he had a "sex addiction" and wanted to eliminate temptation. My perspective is that his choice to shoot up the Asian parlors merely aligned with where he was getting services. Many of these Asian parlors are known traditionally for "happy endings". Does this mean his crime is not based on anti-Asian bias? Don't know yet, let's see what the police investigation reveals. I do know one thing though. This is s hate crime. It is either an anti-Asian hate crime or an anti-women hate crime. Possibly both. While the media and some groups have been highlighting the potential anti-Asian element of this sad situation -- it would also be an opportune time to focus a spotlight on the bias in treating women as objects and the entire seedy culture surrounding some of these massage parlors and the mistreatment of workers.
Illegal immigration, human trafficking, sex workers and the breakdown of female roles is serious don't you think? It's no reason for what this turd did, but it's still serious.
