Sheryl Crow has an idea to save the world. Use just one square of toilet paper per seating:

Probably a good idea to avoid shaking hands with this moonbat. And her younger brother, although he might be too busy washing out his solitary square of asswipe.

Note the assault rifles held by other "peaceful" protestors in the background.

And the al-Reuter's caption? Why they are marching against violence:

  4. Maybe it was a dummy rpg round, and the ak-47's were loaded with blanks.

Sort of like middle eastern street theatre.

What the press, both right and left, blared out in bold headlines day after day after day...

    THE WAR IS LOST.
    -- Senator Harry Reid

Tom DeLay's response to the headline, citing nothing less than probable treason...
"For the majority leader of the United States Senate, in the time of war, with soldiers dying on the ground, announcing that we have lost the war, is very close to treasonous. I looked it up while we were driving over here, what the definition of 'treason' is. It's the betrayal of trust."

Tom DeLay's comment in 1999 while he was House Majority Whip, showing some of that trust a month into the US mission in Kosovo...
"I cannot support a failed foreign policy....President Clinton has never explained to the American people why he was involving the US military in a civil war in a sovereign nation, other than to say it is for humanitarian reasons, a new military-foreign policy precedent. Was it worth it to stay in Vietnam to save face? What good has been accomplished so far? Absolutely nothing."

Forget the fringe elements where it's always easy to find ridiculous quotes, even for the main players you can't make this stuff up. And not that it matters to Mr. DeLay or his proponents, but this is the statement that Senator Reid actually made...
"As long as we follow the President's path in Iraq, the war is lost. But there is still a chance to change course - and we must change course."

In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

Not interested in a back 'n forth endless political discussion, as this thread is just for interesting quotes. But in case you missed it this was Harry Reid's true statement from which the headline was extracted:

"As long as we follow the President's path in Iraq, the war is lost. But there is still a chance to change course - and we must change course."

"According to the poll, only 22 percent believe the country is on the right track. That's the lowest number on this question since October 1992, when Bush father's was running for a second term — and lost." -MSNBC poll

Ya spent how much on Iraq only to turn it over to the Shiites and Iranians?

Blogs aside, the thread is pretty empty but at least we got the GOP in the mainstream media that serves up the laughs, ie McCain and his Iraq is safe to walkthrough nonsense. :p
