The cost so far is 547 deaths per million vs 46 and 58 for Norway and Finland, it's too soon to say either way. If Norway and Finland catch up in deaths before a vaccine, then maybe it was ok, if not then no.
" Soul sapping house arrest", grow the fuck up. Really, you are such a first world pussy. Oh your son's happiness was destroyed by not being able to play golf, a crime against fucking humanity. Woe is Jem. How countries are affected in GDP is also a factor of what their exports happen to be and how much of their staple foods are produced at home. Also trade balance.
But that's only one part of the equation. Its easy to say "they had more deaths, so they lost". But if Sweden had 1000 more deaths (just to make up a number) but avoided putting millions more out of work, you have to consider that. It isn't just a comparison of the death total.
Tsing has tapped out over Fl, you’ve basically tapped out over Calif,so the only one you have is Sweden and getting likes from B1S2 and your other alias SmallFill. Pathetic!
ooh, might have to unblock Tsing to see that admission Maybe Jem should move to Sweden if he loves it so much? hohohoho
you keep going for personal attacks on me and may family for pointing out the Sweden's approach is working or when I push for a more sensible approach to this virus based on facts and data. What is wrong with you? Post data or facts... show that I am wrong. Win in the marketplace of ideas.
You have posted no reasonable facts and data. Sweden managed to both kill a much larger number of their citizens per capita than neighboring countries AND sink their economy. A two-fer disastrous response. This is what the facts and data demonstrate - the COVID response in Sweden and Brazil should not be copied by other countries.
I point out Sweden as one of the models. Because... dozens of times I explained that the model we followed had a high chance of not extinguishing the virus and many are threatening to keep following. We could end up in a cycling stupidity. Not extinguishing the virus.. and not trying to get to herd immunity. I argue that we either have a 97 percent shutdown or we follow a different model.
