Now, if you're picking "recent weeks" well we can pick whatever time period makes our own data look good. Let's pick....(spins the wheel) ...week 7! Who won week 7??

And what is their 7 day average over the past 5 weeks. Please enlighten us with the recent information on deaths per capita in Sweden.

I don't know. i'm sure you know it. So share it.

All I'm saying is we can pick any time frame to show whatever data we want to show and tell whatever story we want to tell. But at the end of the day, the only way to equalize it is to look at the complete data set.

But cherry pick all you want. We all know you're doing it so its not like you're fooling us.

73 percent of Swedish deaths from Kung Flu were from people 65 and over. Almost 50 percent of Swedish deaths from Kung Flu were 75 and older. Seems to me that by not locking down the country, they did the right thing as the low risk group was able to continue on.

GWB did you see the chart in Tsing's post above and below.
How could you still be lying about deaths spiking in the last 5 weeks?
Are you insane? nuts? deranged or pathological?

That chart of daily deaths in Sweden has be going down since mid April. .

The 7 day moving average of daily deaths in Sweden was 4 on this chart... not 4 per million -- but 4 total for the entire country.

You want enlightenment lying moron... the 7 day moving average of daily deaths per 10 million is 4.

The 7 day moving average of daily deaths was never spiking to new highs in the last 5 weeks.

What the fuck is wrong with your brain?
You refuse to accept facts and data over propaganda if it does not fit your narrative.

The 7 day moving average of deaths in Sweden isn't 4. It is 3. For the whole country.

There no point talking about deaths which happened in old folks homes before the shutdown of old folks homes. Those numbers were large and caused many countries into panic blanket shut downs...

lets talk about the models put in place after the initial deaths....

Lets look at how the countries are doing right now per Capita.

Sweden is doing better than Canada right now on the 7 day moving average of deaths per 10 million.

    Sweden is a 3 today
Canada is at 5 to 6 today.
both could bounce around going forward because these levels are thankfully pretty low.
but...what happens when Canada opens up. Will it have a second wave?

Canada is already opening up in stages, has been doing so for weeks. Some areas stated in May. Yesterday, Ontario our largest province, had ZERO deaths. Meanwhile I'm reading that Taiwan had 6 or 7 deaths total the whole year. Looking at the model in Sweden is a mistake.
They've handled it all very badly. Per capita Sweden has more then twice as many deaths due to this virus as Canada. And obviously massively more deaths then countries like Taiwan.

You want to talk about deaths in senior homes Canada leads the world in that category; 80% of all Covid deaths in Canada occurred in long term care. It's not something we are proud of. What we can be proud of is the restraint out citizens have had with respect to safety and medical recommendations. The paper reported today that only 14% of people in Ontario oppose our new mandatory mask law in all enclosed public spaces.

There was never any panic in shutting down here it was done quickly and smartly, and there is none of this online hysteria about personal freedoms and that the lock down hurt anyone at all. Canada ( and many other places I'm sure ) are going to be a thorn in your side trying to push your emotional overdone theories about this virus.

Ontario had zero Covid deaths yesterday, which is very promising. The problem with Sweden as an example is they had huge death counts very early in the process. So a lot of their vulnerable got taken out fairly quickly and it's not a huge country ( 11 million people ). Taiwan for example has a much better record controlling deaths. So why aren't we talking about Taiwan ? I would never use Sweden as a model when their total death rate per capita is more then double that of Canada, and we are no ideal example ( we had a major problem with outbreaks in private retirement homes ).
