It really is crazy reading back through these old posts. This guy was fined $1000 for surfing. The CovidNazis claimed he was spreading Covid. Almost as stupid as the Canadians claiming the spread of Covid was coming from truckers. You had all the anti-Trumpers cheering this kind of nonsense on.

What does 'the Science' say? Remember all these clowns were claiming they were 'following the science'.

We’ve long known that soaking up more sunlight can boost serotonin levels and improve mental health by ramping up vitamin D production. Now, a group of researchers who analyzed dozens of studies, dating from January 2022 to August 2023, have found that having low levels of vitamin D may increase risk of severe COVID-19—and may raise risk for and possibly delay recovery from Long COVID. The research team also identified a possible interplay between vitamin D and metformin, a medication that may help prevent Long COVID.

The clinical review, conducted by researchers at Assiut University in Egypt and published in Inflammopharmacology, analyzed 58 clinical studies that investigated the therapeutic effects of vitamin D in more than 14 million patients with COVID-19. The authors found that 49 studies (86%) demonstrated that having a higher vitamin D level was associated with less severe COVID-19 symptoms. The researchers concluded that vitamin D likely acts against COVID-19 by protecting the respiratory system and regulating the innate and adaptive immune system.

It must be all those tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorists at Yale spreading disinformation again.

NZ had less than 4000 deaths by the end of 2024, Sweden had 24,000. Sweden's population is roughly 10.5 million, while New Zealand's is about 5.2 million, making the claim about reversed death counts nonsense.

NZ had relatively little school closure, mostly at the beginning. There were a just few areas of Auckland that had longer school closures due to outbreaks. Overall though, kids were far less affected and only experienced social distancing in school.

@Tsing Tao liked the posts because he is naturally good with numbers as a CFO?

This is why we can't have nice talks as mature adults. There's always another old igit troll who starts banging garbage can lids together for attention to get his dopamine fix and hang reality.

    Read
Read the whole article which gives a summary of the royal report. Truly disgraceful government at the time - which is now loathed throughout new zealand.

It is a pile of claptrap by a libertarian. I own a home in NZ and so kept up with the news via my tenants. The report of course said there were negatives, did not say Sweden did better or what NZ should have done differently.

Just look at how he wrote the article title putting his name first and then following it with... His name. The guy is a pillock.

As an aside, Maori are naturally big people and would have been highly disproportionately affected by Covid, and this was evident by Samoa's deaths.

Stop the Covid nonsense. You were lied to. Deal with it.

Sweden did a great job. You didnt.

Study: Sweden's 'Laissez Faire' Pandemic Policies Paid Off
The Scandinavian country suffered fewer excess deaths and far less economic and social damage than other rich countries that had more restrictive pandemic policies.

  8. Jacinda left office when she knew the going was getting good.

I don't know where she is now. I am going to guess that she is the Director of Granola and Climate Change Studies somewhere.
