I still think there will be arrests made considering some of the high ranking officials in the Swedish Public Health Agency removed their elderly parents from nursing homes without warning nor protecting the nursing homes early in the Pandemic just prior to the excessive mortality rates.

Simply, not only did they not protect the vulnerable...they did not want to and instead decided to first protect their own elderly parents via removing them from the nursing homes before the shit hit the fan.

Another way to look at it...they knew Natural Herd Immunity was going to create excessive mortality and possibly knew it was going to fail.

So let's take a look at 2021 COVID Rankings of countries. Hey look as Sweden down at 21 with a red lockdown severity measure of 55 showing that it is a lot more locked down than even the U.S. at 47. And nowhere near New Zealand with a low lockdown severity measure of 22.

LOL -- for anyone pretending Sweden implemented "lock-down lite". In the end their failed "natural herd immunity" policies caught up with them and they had to lock-down while trying to use the word "restrictions" instead of the L word.

The Best And Worst Places to Be as The World Finally Reopens
    https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/covid-resilience-ranking/

Almost a year and a half into the pandemic, the best and worst places to be in the Covid-19 era are increasingly defined by one thing: normalization.

The biggest vaccination drive in history is enabling parts of the globe to abolish mask mandates, relax restrictions and dismantle border curbs, making the magnitude of reopening key to quality of life. Taming cases and deaths was once paramount, along with ensuring a robust health-care system. Now, the ability to essentially turn back the clock and return to pre-pandemic times is taking on an even greater significance.

Central to that is an economy’s openness to the world, and that’s why we’ve introduced a new element—Reopening Progress—to Bloomberg’s Covid Resilience Ranking. Two new metrics capture the ease of moving in and out of a place and how much air travel has recovered, alongside our 10 other measures tracking mortality rates to infection counts, freedom of movement to economic growth.

This pivot has ushered in dramatic changes to the ranks. The U.S. is now No. 1, with its fast and expansive vaccine rollout, dominated by the highly effective Messenger RNA shots, stemming what was once the world’s worst outbreak.

Dive into the methodology behind the Bloomberg Covid Resilience Ranking

Restaurants are packed, masks areno longerrequired for vaccinated people and Americans are going on vacation again, emboldened by a vaccination rate that covers half of the population. The U.S. is set for blistering economic growth this year thanks to a $1.9 trillion stimulus package and inoculation-fueled consumer confidence.

Because of the shift in the Ranking’s focus, we’re not comparing directly with last month. Some key takeaways, though:
    • European countries like Switzerland, France and Spain are in the top 10 as they open their borders to vaccinated tourists while hospitalizations fall thanks to inoculation
    • Parts of the Asia-Pacific region that performed well in the Ranking until now—like Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia—drop as strict border curbs remain in place and a zero-tolerance approach to small virus flareups limit their ability to reopen; Taiwan plunges into the bottom half of the Ranking for the same reasons, accentuated by a lagging vaccination drive and a resurgent outbreak
    • India, the Philippines and some Latin America countries rank lowest amid a perfect storm of variant-driven outbreaks, slow vaccination, and global isolation
While the failure of powerful, developed economies to curb the spread of the coronavirus remains a lasting legacy of the pandemic and leaves a deep scar—the U.S., U.K. and parts of Europe have some of the highest mortality-per-capita rates in the world—these places are proving faster and better at exiting the Covid era, mostly thanks to domination of vaccine supplies.

In contrast, the Asia-Pacific economies that have populated the top rungs of the Ranking since its debut in November have seen their fortunes fade.

    But but but...

The Covidiot naysayers in this thread continue stating Sweden was the model country since Day 1 even when Sweden was enduring excessive mortality among their vulnerable population.

In contrast, you and I have been stating the facts...Denmark, Finland, Norway have outperform Sweden since Day 1.

Yet, now with vaccinations getting all the Scandinavian countries closer to vaccination herd immunity...the Covidiot naysayers will either return to say Sweden is the model country or just disappear into a new user name. :D

I am here to set the record straight because some losers from Canada and GWB are or will claim victory after I ceased posting anywhere on this site. I was on vacation at a beach house... twice. But... I will set the final record here.

    1. Sweden was the model...
Look at the graphs below...after a tough first round... like many of the major countries and states which did not protect and isolate the high risk...
Sweden was the model... their results without a lockdown are very similar to many countries with multiple lockdowns

Here is the proof... using the fear mongers preferred data.

See those graphs... Sweden was the model.

    https://ourworldindata.org/explorer...L~CAN~FRA~GRC~GBR~USA&Metric=Confirmed+deaths

    anticipated counter argument...

yes.. their neighbors... only shutdown for a few weeks... and they locked the borders...
They may have had the best model... locking the borders was important as I said many times. Countries were also fortunate who were not hit hard at first... like Sweden and Spain and Belgium and Italy and CA and NY and much of the North East.

The real analysis of the best models begins after that first hard hitting wave.

    b. herd immunity is real. we have see examples of that, in many areas which did not have to lock down for a second or third wave. it does seem the variants do require some to get immunity again.. .
remember you have antibody immunity and t cell immunity and some may not even register an infection... ever.

    c. there is T cell immunity
For the morons like GWB who keep denying it for a year. That is in part how the mRNA vaccines work you morons (many may not get infected or get sick because their T Cells are spun up. ... I have posted multiple studies addressing the reality of T Cell immunity.

    d. as of now there is still zero outdoor spread from a statistical standpoint. Morons blaming crowds were just that. We told you that a year before fauci pretty much admitted it. As I said it would make more sense to wear helmets against satellites falling out of the sky (because that is real) than wear a mask or 2 (as the Fauci and morons like Newsom said) outdoors.

    e. A recent NIH study admitted that for every one person who test positive there were 4 to 5 others who had antibodies in their study of the spring of 2020. You dumb fearful fuckers were always using the wrong ratios to make arguments. Now imagine all the people who did not even test positive for antibodies but had immunity.... Could be many hundreds of times higher... we will not know.

    g. so far it looks like those who test positive are less likely to get re-infected than those who got the vaccine. Per multiple studies including the Cleveland clinic study. The CDC also found something similar in Feb.

    h. non vaccinated uninfected may be variant factories but there may be very few of us... and our variants may be less deadly in the long run.
(We will never know how many of us actually had Covid and may never be be variant factories again.)

But.. .dangerous variants may arise out of those vaccinated but who still get infected.

you fools need to stay home... and not get infected until this is over...
And wear your useless loose fitting masks too.
    (just kidding sort of)

    g.
so in short we the non fearful... who have critical thinking skills were correct on just about everything except that Sweden did suffer a second wave... (probably due to the variants.)

you fearful losers followed fauci's lies...as if he were truthful (his emails showed he knew he was misrepresent many things... yet if you were healthy you lost a year of your life to fear. ..

    Summary...
I hope you follow the real data .. and have learned to not trust govt officials who lie and lie and lie.

We should have isolated the high risk...
    a. for their own good and ,
    b. because they were most of the super spreaders....

We should have allowed the healthy to live... as they would hot have challenged the hospitals too seriously7...

I am done posting here... as jem. Maybe I will be back... have a good summer.

P.S. If you have your shots and are really concerned about dangerous variants and being a variant factory... stay at home. Let the healthy live and get natural herd immunity.
