"The high risk were also the vast majority of the super spreaders per recent studies." LOL

The high risk are the people least likely to go out in public and the ones who were most likely to remain isolated as much as possible.

    You are shoveling bullshiat again.

There are 4 times this Sweden thread should have died but the Covid Deniers just can't believe what has happened:
    • Swedish Health Officials and Tegnell himself admitted in the late fall of 2020 that their "health care experiment" had failed and then they denied it was the Natural Herd Immunity they were using. :D
    • Sweden released statistics the showed Sweden's GDP had suffered and there has been increasing suicides / mental illness above the norm when Sweden did not lockdown. :(
    • Recent reality that the two punch combo of vaccinations and strict restrictions had declined Sweden's infections / hospitalizations / ICUs / deaths.
    • It's been over one year now in the Pandemic...Sweden still has not been able to outperform its Scandinavian neighbors and Sweden still has similar anti-restriction protests.
The known Covid trolls in this thread just can not grasp any of the above reality.

Note: Prior chart shows that Sweden may soon catch up with Denmark infection rate. Yet, Denmark did not expose its population to excessive high mortality (Sweden's own words).

KEY POINTS: Sweden’s five-step plan for ditching pandemic restrictions
    https://www.thelocal.se/20210527/ke...ep-plan-for-lifting-coronavirus-restrictions/

The Swedish government has rolled out a detailed five-step plan for lifting the country's coronavirus restrictions. Here's a list of the planned rule changes between now, September and beyond.

First, here’s a link to The Local’s report from the government’s press conference announcing the five-step plan. Please note that the dates below are not set in stone and will depend on how the coronavirus outbreak develops in the coming weeks and months.

    Step 1: June 1st
    • Up to 50 people will be allowed at cinemas, theatres and other seated indoor events
    • Up to 100 people will be allowed at non-seated sport, culture and other outdoor events
    • Up to 500 people will be allowed at seated sport, culture and other outdoor events
    • Up to 150 people will be allowed at running events, orienteering, swimming and other outdoor competitions
    • The maximum rule of eight people at public events will no longer apply to flea markets and other markets
    • Liseberg, Gröna Lund, Skara Sommarland and other permanent amusement parks attractions will be allowed one person per 20 square metres
    • Bars and restaurants will be able to stay open until 10.30pm
    • Summer camps for children will be allowed
    • Small tournaments for children, indoor and outdoor, will be allowed
    • Universities will be able to organise on-campus teaching
    Step 2: July 1st
    • Up to 50 people will be allowed at non-seated indoor events
    • Up to 300 people will be allowed at seated indoor events
    • Up to 600 people will be allowed at non-seated outdoor events
    • Up to 3,000 people will be allowed at seated outdoor events
    • Up to 900 people will be allowed at outdoor running events
    • Up to 50 people allowed at private events
    • Opening hours for bars and restaurants will be extended, and distancing rules and the maximum limit on people per table will be removed for outdoor serving areas
    • Bars and restaurants will be allowed to serve food and beverage to standing customers in outdoor serving areas
    • The advice for associations (so for example a housing association, not a workplace) to cancel in-person meetings will be “eased” but the government did not explain how
    • The Public Health Agency will also remove the recommendation to only socialise with your closest circle in this step, but will still advise people to meet outdoors
    Step 3: mid-July
    • Limits on passengers on long-distance trains and buses will be removed
    • Municipalities will no longer be allowed to ban people from certain public spaces
    • The recommendation to wear a face mask during rush hour on public transport will be removed
    • The limits on people per square metres in indoor and outdoor areas (for example shops and shopping centres) will be removed, but crowding is still discouraged
    Step 4: September
    • The limit on number of people allowed at public events and public gatherings will be removed
    • The limit on private events will be removed
    • The rules for restaurants and bars will be removed entirely, including indoor areas
Step 5: Date to be announced
    • All remaining restrictions and recommendations will be lifted. This includes removing recommendations to avoid crowding, to meet each other outdoors rather than indoors, to work from home and to practise good hand hygiene. The only remaining recommendations will be to stay at home if you develop Covid-19 symptoms – this will be removed “as soon as the epidemiological situation permits”.
Note that the government did NOT announce anything about international travel restrictions at the press conference, but more information on this is expected to follow. The government said it would announce in mid-June whether it will introduce a possibility to use “vaccine passes” to gain entry to for example large events, and if so, how this will be regulated.

This is a good slow re-opening plan from their current strict restrictions to ensure that their Covid numbers continue to decline.

Yet, I would to see it more involve vaccinations to encourage more vaccinations but I suspect such will occur mid-June when Sweden announce what's required for international travel.

Let's take a look at the latest fabrication being pushed in social media by COVID-deniers about Sweden.

Fact Check-Sweden has not stopped using PCR tests
    https://www.reuters.com/article/fac...has-not-stopped-using-pcr-tests-idUSL2N2NJ0M4

The Swedish government has not suspended PCR testing to identify COVID-19.

The false claim appeared in May on Facebook and Instagram with a screenshot that reads: “Sweden stops using PCR tests. The PCR technology cannot distinguish between viruses capable of infecting cells and viruses that have been neutralised by the immune system and therefore these tests cannot be used to determine whether someone is contagious” (here , here).

Similar statements emerged on Twitter, with popular tweets alleging Sweden stopped using PCR tests because they were “not fit for purpose” (here) and “provided no benefit” (here).

Many of these posts included a screenshot or link to a blog from a website describing itself as “Facebook without the Censorship and ‘Fact Checkers’”(here). The headline of the blog reads: “Sweden stops using PCR tests”; however, the body of the text does not support this title.

The blog simply reports that PCR technology is not the best way to determine when an infected person is no longer contagious with COVID-19 – a point that appears to have been lifted from archived material on the Swedish Public Health Agency’s website and translated by Google (here).

The guidance was first published in July 2020 and updated in November the same year. Crucially, the material did not say Sweden was stopping PCR testing, but acknowledged that virus RNA can be detected weeks (or months) after illness, meaning a positive result doesn’t necessarily mean a person is still contagious.

Therefore, the guidance outlined different procedures for determining when someone is no longer infectious with COVID-19. These include waiting for two days free of fever or seven days since the onset of symptoms – or 14 days for people with more pronounced symptoms.

Anna Wetterqvist, from the Public Health Agency of Sweden, confirmed to Reuters in an email that Sweden had not suspended PCR testing and had not changed any policies or guidelines relating to their use.

“The plan is to continue with a high-test capacity during a long period of time,” she said, adding that around 350,000 PCR tests were carried out weekly in Sweden during April and May.

Indeed, the health agency’s website clearly advises that people take PCR tests when they feel ill and have symptoms of COVID-19 (here).

    VERDICT
    False.
Sweden has not stopped using PCR tests for COVID-19 diagnoses.

Lets be clear... because you seem to hate the truth
about the accuracy of testing.. and may be posting the above to confuse the issue.

PCR tests can not tell if you have Covid which is infectious.

    https://www.cebm.net/covid-19/pcr-positives-what-do-they-mean/

Does a PCR “TRUE POSITIVE” mean INFECTIVITY OR VIRULENCE?
What does viral culture tell about PCR positives?

A PCR test might find the virus it was looking for. This results in a PCR positive, but a crucial question remains: is this virus active, i.e. infectious, or virulent? The PCR alone cannot answer this question. The CEBM explains why culturing the virus is needed to answer this question:
