Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, Health Minister Lena Hallengren and the general director of the Public Health Agency, Johan Carlson, Tegnell himself... All have stated the health care policy that Sweden used during the Pandemic had failed their people. More importantly, Sweden has adopted the Vaccinated Herd Immunity policy as everybody else in the world and vaccinating their people to protect them from Covid. As of today in Sweden, 16 out of 100 people have been vaccinated with the 1st dose or about 1.6 million people...many of them have been elderly and vulnerable ethnic communities. Further, Sweden is on board in creating a vaccination passport that anyone must have to cross the border into Sweden. At this point, it doesn't matter what the Covidiots in this thread think about Sweden because Sweden doesn't give a fuck. Sweden has one goal now...to protect all their citizens. They're doing such via vaccination. The current problem in Sweden is one that's occurring in other countries...the Variants of Covid is causing infections, hospitalization, ICU numbers of Covid to increase. That's why some countries are now using targeted lockdowns, restrictions, measures or whatever they call it to water down the language. These Covidiots behave as if they want this Pandemic to continue. Put them all on an island and wish them good luck. wrbtrader
To be fair, I unblocked "Jem" ( and "Tsing Tao" ) before I addressed their online stupidity, but I choose to ignore them for now. He tends to go into emotional rants when his lousy track record on this topic is addressed. Not sure what he gets out of this as I said before I bet his family stays clear of these topics with him.
Yeah, you blocked me, unblocked me, blocked me again, unblocked me again, blocked me a third time and now you've got me unblocked so you can "address my stupidity" yet haven't addressed anything other than your inability to make a fucking stand and block me or not block me. You sure showed me!
Nordic Nations Make Noticeable Headway in Covid Recovery April 2, 2021, 12:00 AM EDT Economists have upgraded outlooks for Swedish growth Danish growth data was revised up, Norway is recovering fast https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...resilience-shines-brighter-in-gloom-of-crisis The Nordics are starting to make noticeable headway in repairing the damage from the coronavirus crisis, building on a year of remarkable resilience to global economic turmoil. In Sweden, robust business confidence and improving export prospects this week prompted SEB and the Swedish National Institute of Economic Research to raise growth forecasts for the region’s biggest economy. Bloomberg Economics did so too, and also lifted its outlook for Norway, while Denmark’s most recent growth data was revised higher. Europe’s northeastern corner has stood out for its impressive record in containing the fallout on economic expansion, aided by generous welfare systems, widespread digitalization and a relatively low reliance on tourism. That legacy now looks likely to endure as vaccination programs pick up and global trade recovers. “Sweden continues to be more like its Nordic peers, losing much less in terms of GDP compared with most economies in the euro area,” SEB analysts Olle Holmgren and Marcus Widen said in a report. “Hence, the recovery will show somewhat lower growth metrics in the next couple of years while at the same time show a GDP level compared with pre-crisis higher than most countries.” The comparison with much of Europe is stark. While oil-rich Norway ended 2020 with its gross domestic product just 1.4% below the pre-pandemic levels, the euro region suffered an overall contraction of 6.6% by the time the year was over. Upgrades to Sweden’s outlook have followed a spate of good news from businesses. In March, an index of manufacturing confidence rose to the highest since mid-2018, while Swedbank’s index of factory purchasing managers climbed more than economists expected. Some economists are now reckoning the economy expanded in the first quarter. The prospect of a trade pickup helped prompt recent shifts in forecasts, with SEB opting to lift its growth outlook for 2021 by as much as 0.7 percentage point. “Sweden is among the most open economies and most trading partners registered rebounding business activity” at the start of the year, said Manuel Oliveri, a currency strategist at Credit Agricole. “Asia plays a role.” In Denmark, statistics officials revised higher their most recent GDP data on Wednesday, for the fourth quarter, with a 0.7% increase sustaining expansion throughout the second half of the year. What Bloomberg Economics Says... “As more of the population gets inoculated we expect rising demand at home and abroad to drive a recovery in Sweden and Norway late in the second quarter. By the end of 2021, we forecast output will exceed its pre-pandemic level in both economies.” ---Johanna Jeansson, Nordic region economist For full note click here Norway’s oil riches and reliance on the backing from its sovereign wealth fund, the world’s largest, already made its economy one of the world’s most insulated to growth shocks. Bloomberg Economics has raised its forecast for this year to 3.9% from 3.7%, and now reckons that both it and Sweden will exceed pre-pandemic levels of output sooner than previously anticipated. Still, the sky isn’t spotless. Sweden on Thursday postponed its vaccination target due to delivery delays, saying it now expects adults to be able to get at least one dose of coronavirus vaccine by Aug. 15. It had earlier planned for the vaccination effort to reach all people older than 18 by mid-year. The Nordics have shown noticeably similar economic trajectories despite divergent approaches to lockdown restrictions throughout the crisis, with Sweden in particular initially having tried to keep its economy as open to business as possible. Where they look likely to diverge in future is in monetary policy. Norway’s central bank has flagged the start of interest-rate increases already in the second half of the year to contain inflation and surging house prices. By contrast, Sweden’s NIER institute projects the Riksbank will only raise its benchmark rate in 2024.
Thanks for the graph as verification because I talked about this last year after a few quarters of data in which Denmark, Finland and Norway had better GDP growth than Sweden to contrast the fact that one of the main reasons behind Sweden health policy approach last year was the minimize the damage to their economy. I had forgotten or couldn't find the graphs that I had saved for my commentary. Simply, Sweden only had a "lockdown lite" policy whereas the other countries locked down. In theory, they should have had more (worst) impact on their GDP but it was Sweden instead that had the worst impact on its GDP. It will be interesting to research the data about "tourism" by year end of 2021 in all the Scandinavian countries when they begin using the "vaccination passport" to enter their countries to see if it encourages more tourism because people will view these countries as a safe place to vacation, ski or whatever versus viewing these countries as too restrictive. wrbtrader
is blocking the same as the super ignore feature.... and how come when I went to block one these pre fascists... it says the name is already ignored or on the list yet I can't see it.
Swedish Health Agency Wants Restriction Easing Postponed to May https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...ncy-wants-restriction-easing-postponed-to-may Sweden’s health agency says the easing of Covid-19 restrictions should be pushed back to May 3 given infection rates are rising across most of the country. “The spread of Covid-19 is increasing with an increased burden on health-care as a result,” the agency said in a statement. Amendments to the restrictions were originally meant to come into force on April 11. Currently bars and restaurants in Sweden can’t serve alcohol after 8 p.m. and gatherings of more than eight people are not permitted.
Amendments to the restrictions were originally meant to come into force on April 11. Note... the use of the word restrictions by Swedes.. compared to your moronic headline and supporting misrepresentation only two pages ago... gwb-trading Sweden becomes latest European nation to slam brakes on Covid-19 lockdown escape as PM warns of ‘serious’ third wave https://www.standard.co.uk/news/world/sweden-lockdown-third-wave-stefan-lotven-covid-b927328.html jem When did they enter a lockdown? is this another daily GWB- Big Lie? in which you call restrictions a lockdown? I wonder how Bloomberg is able to pick up the news stories out of Sweden before Europe and other Scandinavian countries are able to release the same news story ??? As for the rising infection rates...that's true as shown in the graph below. Do you see how close Sweden came to the 600 threshold ? I believe Sweden stated that if they reach the 700 threshold...they would consider a "lockdown". In contrast, the rise in hospitalization / ICUs has not been compatible. Then again, it usually takes 1 - 2 weeks for the rise to show up in hospitals after seeing a rise earlier in infections. Easy solution to the rising infections...Sweden needs to do a much better vaccination of their citizens. Right now, they're only around +10% as of last week vaccination data. Thus, Sweden wants show dramatic decreasing infection numbers like California and Texas via vaccination of their most vulnerable population (e.g. elderly, migrant workers, ethnic communities). If Sweden can do that...they can then began to ease or remove their Covid restrictions. wrbtrader
