I'm surprised to see numbers this weekend for Sweden and Japan. Sweden still slowly moving upwards and Japan slowly moving downwards. Yet, Sweden is the one getting closer to a possible "lockdown" while the rest of the world is either removing / lesser restrictions or just using targeted restrictions because of the Covid-19 variants.

Lets watch next weeks numbers to see whom reacts with more restrictions or less restrictions and the why.

Alarm as Covid-19 cases rise once again in Sweden
    https://www.thelocal.se/20210301/alarm-as-covid-19-cases-rise-once-again-in-sweden

As of Monday, a total of 240 people were receiving intensive care treatment for Covid-19 across Sweden, up from 197 just ten days previously.

In early January, the figure reached more than 380 at its highest, still a significant drop from the peak of the first wave in spring 2020, when more than 500 people were being treated in ICUs for Covid-19.

The intensive care figures give a reflection of the levels of infection one to two weeks previously, because on average people are admitted to intensive care 10.8 days after falling ill.

Of Sweden's 21 regions, around a half say that the number of people in intensive care for Covid-19 is increasing.

The regions with the highest number of intensive care patients per capita are Västerbotten, Norrbotten, Jönköping and Västra Götaland.

The uptick has prompted Sweden's National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) to call extra coordination meetings, and one of the major concerns is that comparitively smaller regions like Västerbotten and Norrbotten are now hard hit.

    Sweden-case-March-1.jpg

"It is always concerning if a small regions gets a big influx of patients," the agency's Taha Alexandersson told the TT newswire.

"The Swedish healthcare system is built on us being able to help each other, but if several regions are having an equally hard time it can get difficult. In the northern regions, they are very used to transporting patients, but the resources aren't endless."

Even though twice as many people were in the ICUs for Covid-19 during the spring, that doesn't mean the current levels will be easily manageable.

In spring 2020, Sweden's healthcare system underwent a major restructuring, doubling the number of available ICU beds in an operation that required postponement of some other care, assistance from the military, and many healthcare staff working longer and more shifts than usual. This can't be sustained, Alexandersson stressed.

She said that the main thing she wanted to communicate to the public was the need for everyone to follow national and local recommendations extremely closely.

"The challenge is making sure that they are followed, but together we can do it, through the decisions that are taken by different organisations and through the decisions every individual makes," she said.

"Meeting fewer people is the single most important thing at the moment."

Shorty all of Tsing Tao's favorite sources for "facts" on Twitter will be removed from Twitter. Where will he go for his COVID misinformation in the future.

Twitter strike system will permanently ban users who repeatedly post COVID-19 misinformation

That should be very comforting for folks like yourself, who view any dissent whatsoever from the narrative - no matter how based in data - as something that has to be quashed.

You should be happy with your contributions to the suppression of free speech and enforcement of Party line. You're a good little soldier.

Of course, these voices will just go elsewhere, but why bother yourself with that. One revolution to quash at a time, right Comrade?

PS, I notice you never provided any proof of your accusations despite me offering up to $500 for you to do so.

I invite everyone on this thread to review Pages 257 to 262. Let's walk through the events in sequence.
    • Tsing Tao posts a chart making claims about COVID in Collier County, Fl.
    • Tsing Tao is unwilling to provide the source for the chart which presents very suspect information.
    • Despite Tsing Tao's misdirection -- the source of the chart is found to be a Twitter poster.
    • This Twitterer pushes a lot of COVID misinformation and fabrications. Integrity of your sources matter.
    • Tsing Tao makes all sorts of claim that the data is not in dispute and I just attack the source.
    • I download the supposed source of the data. The data is found NOT to match the chart. This is very obvious.
    • At the bottom of page 261 Tsing Tao finally admits the data on his chart is crap.
The above pattern is repeated over and over again for all of Tsing Tao's posts using charts from crap data sources --- such as bloggers and tweeters. He tries to misdirect and hide the source until it is hunted down. This is usually followed by an evaluation of the data showing the source is crap while he proclaims we only attack the author (who is always someone pushing complete misinformation regularly - remember integrity matters). At some point we should not have to step up over and over again to debunk this nonsense. Tsing Tao should clearly attribute his sources and use mainstream sources that have integrity.

But the data isn't crap, that's the thing. Nor did I ever say it was.

And you still haven't shown where I claimed demon sperm was some cure, or that 5G caused Covid, or that injecting bleach was a good idea, or any of the other things you made up out of thin air occurred. I offered you $500 just to give me a link where I claimed these things. Surely if such a post existed, you'd want to make a quick $500. I know I would.

You're a liar, plain and simple.

Let's go with your quote from your posts at the bottom of page 261 - "Now, I will concede that the chart does not seem to match this data set as presented."

Integrity of your sources matter -- if you want to have any believably then attribute your sources and use mainstream sources that have integrity. Otherwise you are just posting crap.

The data set as you presented it did not match the chart. But your data set pull didn't show the correct analysis either.

This is quite different than saying "the chart is crap". That's just you trying to get out of it. Again.

And the chart was an example of how mask mandates put in place in a location (collier County Florida) didn't coincide with any decrease in cases - quite the opposite. That's what you were arguing. I then posted multiple examples where I used other data sources - including state government sources - for Utah, WV and Arizona. And you went silent on all of these and tried to focus on the twitter source you hate so much. Again, all sources were provided. You have no comment on any of these, right? :)

You're still wrong, and a liar.
