Covid Deaths per day lower still in Sweden and still lower than gwBe-lyings model country for Covid response. yet he still pushes the fear propaganda. And he fricken lies about the facts... What a piece of shit... life hating sob. Its people like him who are destroying lives and businesses. he was focused on deaths for a while... when those improved he focused on infections. when those improved he focused on infections in local areas when those improve he posts fearful shit about future third waves from politicians and figureheads. https://ourworldindata.org/coronavi...othing=7&pickerMetric=location&pickerSort=asc
The Prime Minister and King of Sweden have both stated multiple times that the country's previous COVID approach completely failed. Now the country is using federal level restrictions to stop COVID -- aligned with policies of other European "lock-down" nations.
Here's a contrasting concern between Sweden and Japan. Sweden has talked more about its fear of the new variants of Covid-19 that are able to evade immune system defenses whereas Japan's fear seem to be little about the variants but more about having an Olympic Games... It's a contrast because both are talking about "more restrictions". Yet, Sweden is the one considering doing a "lockdown"...most likely due to the recent rise in the number of infections although I don't think the infection increase merit a lockdown unless Sweden knows its more related to the new variants. Yet, if Sweden returns up to the 500 - 600 area on the graph...they will do a lockdown for the first time especially if the sudden increases in the infections is related to the new variants of Covid-19. wrbtrader
It is sad how you shoot the messenger when you don't like the message and then uplift the messenger when the message serves your purposes. (you don't care about a figurehead king in Sweden... you are so full of shit.) You are manifestly lacking any sort of moral code or integrity. You just push fear and are part of life destruction for obviously selfish reasons.
Sweden hesitates to use new Covid lockdown laws as infection rate leads western Europe The number of new infections in Sweden has shot up for two weeks running, its per capita rate now leading Western Europe again https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/20...s-use-new-covid-lockdown-laws-infection-rate/
Sweden Infections has inched higher while Japan has dropped lower in comparison to the last chart I posted. As you've noted about the consecutive days of increasing new infections. Yet, as I stated with the prior graph, if Sweden returns up to the 500 - 600 area on the graph...they will do a lockdown for the first time especially if the sudden increases in the infections is related to the new variants of Covid-19. wrbtrader
Moving beyond federal restrictions; full lockdown coming. Sweden has U-turned on several of its coronavirus measures and is now facing its first lockdown, warns PM https://www.businessinsider.com/swe...own-as-covid-19-restrictions-tightened-2021-2 Sweden announced a further tightening of measures this week as its COVID-19 cases continue to climb. The country could also be facing its first lockdown, Prime Minister Stefan Lofven warned this week. New infections have prompted Sweden to gradually abandon its unique approach it first adopted. Sweden's Prime Minister Stefan Lofven warned this week that the country is facing its first lockdown since the start of the pandemic as it seems unable to control its rising coronavirus case numbers. The country, which famously relied on mostly voluntary measures during the pandemic, has been forced to gradually tighten its distinct approach after it's seen a rise in cases in the last two weeks. On Thursday, Sweden reported more than 4,800 new coronavirus cases and 40 deaths — the highest since the beginning of the month, according to a John Hopkins University's tracker Sweden has recorded more than 659,000 cases since the start of the pandemic. "We are seeing an increase in cases again, we need to take new measures," Lofven said at a press briefing on Wednesday, according to Bloomberg. "If the situation gets worse, the government is prepared to enforce a possible lockdown in parts of Sweden. Hopefully, that will not be needed." Sweden has been scrambling to get its rising cases under control for several weeks now. In December, the government issued its first recommendation to wear face masks — a topic that was largely taboo in the country. One month later, Sweden closed its borders with neighboring countries Norway and Denmark and also introduced a law that would allow the government to close restaurants, shops, and public transport to combat the spread of COVID-19. Measures were tightened even further this week, when Lofven announced that as of March 1, restaurants and cafés which do not serve alcohol will have to close at 8.30 pm and that there will be a limit on the number of people allowed in shops and gyms. Restaurants in shopping malls will become takeaway only, and amateur sports will also be stopped, Lofven said. The restrictions come not only as cases continue to rise but also as public health experts have indicated that the country's health system is now facing the virus's new variants. Anders Tegnell, the architect of Sweden's initial no-lockdown response, said on Tuesday that it now seemed "almost inevitable" that the more infectious UK variant would become dominant in Sweden, The Telegraph reported. In Stockholm, it is already identified in 27 percent of samples tested. A day after Sweden announced tweaks to its measures, the prime minister of neighboring Finland declared a three-week coronavirus lockdown starting March 8, which would see all restaurants closed and a maximum of six allowed to gather.
I'm surprised Finland has not closed their borders to Sweden with all the worries by health officials in Sweden about the growing infections via the UK variant especially with Stockholm, Sweden showing 27 percent of the infections to be via the UK variant. Then again, I thought the borders were closed with Sweden and the UK unless they were open when the UK discover the variant of Covid-19. In fact, the Scandinavian countries has used border closure very successfully against Sweden early in the Pandemic to prevent the crazy spread into their countries by the migrant workers that go back n forth... Resulting in them outperforming Sweden against Covid-19 except I think Denmark made a mistake of opening their borders too soon with Sweden. wrbtrader
