To me the key statement above is from Sweden's Chief Epidemiologist Anders Tegnell... It's obvious now that Sweden has access to data about the Covid-19 variants that's arrived in Sweden from route of the United Kingdom. Maybe they've already done it but I would be surprise if Sweden targets arrivals into Sweden via the airports, border crossing via requiring mandatory quarantine at designated hotels for several days until they can be given a Covid-19 test. Here in Québec they are doing such for all arrivals and the required 3 day hotel stay is at the expense of the traveler...no exception. Not sure how successful this will be because its only recently been applied but if its successful...I wouldn't be surprise of Sweden is being pro-active instead of reactive to the growing Covid-19 variants threat.
