Trends for infections and ICU admits down dramatically.
    Daily deaths down significantly...

Same Caveat about deaths... but looking at the trends...

    P.S,.

Looks like my predictions from a few weeks back.
    Before I went skiing.

    The prediction were excellent.

Amazing what you can do when govt actually releases accurately and timely stats...
and dates the deaths to the actual date of death.

You can look back an determine... what was actually happening on that date...
helping us nail what was hopefully the peak of problems... as I did.

Cases and hospitalizations reaching new peaks in Sweden...

Sweden registers 9,649 new COVID-19 cases, 224 deaths since Friday

Sweden, which have shunned lockdowns throughout the pandemic, registered 9,649 new coronavirus cases since Friday, health agency statistics showed on Tuesday.

The figure compares to 9,123 cases the corresponding period last week.

The country of 10 million inhabitants registered 224 new deaths, taking the total to 11,815. The deaths registered have occurred over several days and sometimes weeks.

Sweden’s death rate per capita is several times higher than that of its Nordic neighbors’ but lower than in several European countries that opted for lockdowns.

I expected to see Sweden at the top of the Worldometers page when sorting from worst to best in terms of deaths per 1M. I hadn't checked out this thread for so long. I mean, Sweden did everything wrong. they should be all dead by now.

Imagine my surprise when I found them in the 23rd slot when listing countries by deaths per 1M. Better than: Belgium, the UK, Italy, the US, Bulgaria, Hungary, Portugal, Spain, Mexico, France....just to name a few.

I'm sure GWB will tell us all about the science as to why we should ignore this and focus on the important statistics - like how many red-headed Swedes got the virus in school on Tuesday and how Sweden leads the free world in this bad number and how this is testament of how bad the Swedes have done in controlling this virus.

Deaths per day have dropped significantly since the over 200 per day a few weeks ago.

    Reuters reported 89 today.

"STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Sweden, which has attracted global attention for its soft-touch pandemic response, registered 89 new COVID-19 related deaths on Thursday, taking the total above 12,000, Health Agency statistics showed."

I wonder how some of us could have made the call a few weeks ago that the top for this wave may have been put in over the holidays.

(even though the morons and propagandists were telling us we could not make that call.)

Rate of change... in recent deaths being reported...
    Dropping ICU admits per day...
    We had multiple clues...

Its not that difficult to figure out the current trend which will show up in the charts in a week or two... if you are not a moron propagandist.

Just about every medical specialist in western nations predicted that the local peak will come in January due to people traveling during the Christmas holidays. This is not a surprise. The only question is if the spread of new more contagious variants lead to new peaks in the upcoming months -- in a race against vaccinations.
