You are correct. I had a stellar year trading and the market as a whole is up double digits despite lockdowns of huge portions of the economy. Even before the whole Covid thing happened the 'experts' in the media were claiming the market was going to tank.

All this happened because of Trump and my wallet is happy.

Do you have any idea of how low those numbers are?, for countries so unbelievably, densely populated.

No, I know you don't know. Why do I bother!? I'm an idiot.

LOL it's December and you still don't understand Covid. Countries that flattened the curve most of the year of course their case count is going to go up in the second wave. And you know what's good about the second wave ? It's impacting younger people more who die far less and the medical profession knows how to deal with it better now. Even better, the vaccines are coming. Versus many parts of the US/UK etc that barely flattened the curve and killed off a ton of people in the process. Idiots like you post asinine ideas as thousands of Americans die every single day.

I could post some numbers highlighting the huge disparities in cases and deaths in the US versus a lot of these countries but it's hardly worth it your brain isn't wired right.

Covid-19 is exploding over there and it is a densely populated country too...they may reach the 1.5k by end of year. :D

They had the exact same deep concerns when they had their first 15 cases and then shut down several night clubs after identifying the problem from contact tracing.

If they follow the advise of the non-scientific Libtards, they will cease to be the model.

    Actually,

I predicted back in March that South Korea may reach 1,500 Covid-19 deaths if they are not careful because I lived in Seoul, Korea for a few years and I know were the problematic areas will be...the night clubs.

    South Korea Current Numbers:

National caseload to 42,766 with 580 fatalities

The above states 580 Covid-19 deaths and I predicted 1,500 deaths...ooops my bad but there's still a few weeks left in the year.

It's a shame that Canada and the United States didn't freak out the same way as South Korea when they reached their first 15 Covid-19 deaths and again freak out when they reached 580 Covid-19 deaths.

TOKYO - Japan's daily coronavirus cases have exceeded 3,000 for the first time while the government delays stricter measures for fear of hurting the economy ahead of the holiday season.

The 3,030 new cases, including 621 in Tokyo, took Japan's national tally to 177,287 with 2,562 deaths, the Health Ministry said Sunday.

Experts say serious cases are on the rise around the country, putting burden on hospitals and affecting the daily medical treatment for other patients. They urged authorities to take measures such as suspending out-of-town trips and requesting stores to close early.

Recent media surveys show support ratings for the government of Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga have dropped about 20 points from around 70% during his first three months in office amid public discontent over his coronavirus handling.

Japan issued a non-binding state of emergency in the spring and has survived earlier infection peaks without a lockdown. Experts say the ongoing resurgence in the dry and cold season would be a bigger challenge.

In other developments in the Asia-Pacific region:

SOUTH KOREA: The country has set another record for its daily coronavirus tally with 1,030, as authorities struggle to suppress the viral spread. The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency said Sunday the additional cases including two deaths raised the national caseload to 42,766 with 580 fatalities.

About 80% of the new cases were found in the densely populated Seoul area, where authorities have shut nightclubs and other high-risk venues, banned late-night dining and taken other steps to slow the spread. But such measures have shown little effect. Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun said Saturday his government may have to enforce its highest-level social distancing rules if the virus doesn't slow down. Such restrictions would ban a gathering of more than 10 people, shut down schools, theatres and department stores and suspend professional sports leagues.

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA -- South Korea reported 1,030 new coronavirus cases Sunday, a record high for a second day in a row as the country struggles to tackle a third wave of infections.

The country had previously been held up as a model of how to combat the pandemic, with the public largely following social distancing and other rules.

But a resurgence centred on the capital and surrounding area has prompted President Moon Jae-in to apologise on Facebook for his administration's failure to contain the latest wave.

On Saturday he called the situation "very grave" after authorities reported 950 new infections, the largest daily increase since the start of the pandemic.

Saturday's record was broken on Sunday with 1,002 new locally transmitted cases, some 786 of which were uncovered in the greater Seoul area -- home to half the country's 52 million people.
The weekend numbers followed several days in which authorities reported figures ranging from about 500 to 600.

South Korea's spike came despite the government's tightening of social distancing rules in the capital area earlier this week.

The stricter restrictions include a ban on gatherings of more than 50 people and spectators at sports events. Cafes can serve only takeaways, while restaurants must close by 9 pm, with only deliveries permitted afterwards.

However, authorities said Saturday they may have to tighten the curbs further to the highest level by closing schools, banning gatherings of more than 10 people and allowing only essential employees to offices.

South Korea endured one of the worst early COVID-19 outbreaks outside mainland China, but brought it broadly under control with its "trace, test and treat" approach.

It has never imposed the kind of lockdowns ordered in much of Europe and other parts of the world.

I would love it if Canada or the United States had the same problems as Japan, Taiwan, South Korea or New Zealand. :D
