This data point is impacted by a significant delay in how they report. I'm sure if you go back a month all their data looks worse and not nearly as sunny as you keep portraying on this site. Florida has a similar effect last few months. Sure, you can claim a country with quadruple the case rate now as Canada is somehow escaping a death count, but I noticed months ago on another site that Sweden wasn't doing nearly as well as your numbers. There are flaws on worldometers it's not everything to understand the full picture.

Nobel scientists urge face mask rethink as Sweden's COVID cases climb

Sweden should rethink its decision not to recommend the use of face masks to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus amid a second wave of infections, the Royal Academy of Sciences, which awards the Nobel prizes, said on Thursday.

Sweden’s soft-touch pandemic response has focused mostly on voluntary social distancing and the Public Health Agency has cast doubt on the effectiveness of face masks, which are mandatory in many public places in Europe.

However, a report on Thursday by the Royal Academy of Sciences said that face masks could play a role in reducing infection, particularly in enclosed spaces.

Even if they believed this herd immunity fantasy, why would you want to accelerate infections by avoiding using masks? Why not reach herd immunity with the assistance of vaccinations instead of stressing the capacity of your healthcare system?

Swedish government officials claimed earlier they would have "natural herd immunity" which would prevent the economy from ever declining again due to COVID. Well --- reality time --- the Swedish government is now warning the economy is going to decline badly due to the second wave.

Sweden Warns of Covid Hit to Economy After ‘Unprecedented’ Curbs

Sweden’s government has acknowledged that the latest Covid-19 flare-up means the economy will be weaker over the coming months than previously thought.

Finance Minister Magdalena Andersson said the pandemic is now “just as serious” in Sweden as it was back in March and April. “The transmission we have seen recently, and the measures taken here and in other countries, are expected to dampen the economic recovery,” she said at a press briefing on Wednesday.

Sweden has so far faced a milder recession than many other European nations, after leaving much of its economy open throughout the pandemic. But with new cases soaring and hospitals filling up as Europe enters winter, the outlook is now much bleaker.

On Wednesday, Sweden reported 96 deaths due to Covid-19, and fatalities are now at a level not seen in the country since June.

The number of Covid patients in Sweden’s intensive-care units has doubled over the past 13 days. The overall level remains well below a peak in April, but the development has triggered dire warnings from the government that Sweden is now facing a “really dark” winter.

From later in the article --

"The Public Health Agency has said that face coverings risk giving the wearer a false sense of security, which could undermine social distancing."

The reality is that masks actual increase social distancing because people become more mindful of keeping a distance from others when wearing a mask.

that's such a cop out, piss poor argument too. A face mask essentially reduces the social distance need to like personal space level. Of course it helps to maintain a distance on top of that, i fail to see how someone remembering to wear a mask will "forget to maintain" distance.

no moron... you did not notice shit back then...
especially if you went back a few months as you claim.

if you go back a month...
Sweden still has one or two or 3 deaths a day.

They are in a Covid breakout now which actually started a little less than a month ago.

it may turn into a larger death rate soon...
but if you go to the source cite...
the ICU admits are currently holding steady... so hopefully not.

    here is the source data...
