Second wave was always forecast to be potentially worse then first wave. The key sources have been tracked : bars/restaurants, house parties, and schools, mostly young adults spreading the disease. Ontario has been open for more then two months.

Sweden is a more self contained and socialist country then Canada. The chances of the US implementing a system based on Sweden were zero. However, the experience of Canada and some US states is instructive on how one can lessen the damage of Covid and not totally kill the economy. You can put your head in the sand to that reality all you want but unless you move to Sweden you aren't going to live that experience.

I see no relevance to your "exploding" theories in my life. After months of Toronto being safer then San Diego County concerning Covid, we are in an outbreak putting us at similar numbers to San Diego County. You go on and one about the lack of real threat in San Diego County.

This is why we have data and charts... to combat you bullshit...

look for yourself... infection rates very near their all time lows.

    Covid deaths at 1.

Yeah a bit of move up as summer ends and people go back indoors and maybe return to school or whatever else happens..
but... they are far better offer than many countries in Europe and Canada at or near all time highs in infections... after their failed lockdowns.

Canada's lockdown did not fail. You are all over the map with your theories and just seem irrational and unwilling to accept reality.

    rewrite of your history here.

    2. This is another one of those stupid arguments about Swedes trusting their govt more.
If the US had not locked down the low risk group and said mask are not required..
There would have been virtually 100 percent compliance.

    3. looking at this from just your life... I thought you told me I was selfish for going to the beach... your perspective is amazingly selfish.

you are always comparing yourself to San Diego or CA or the US.
I keep telling you we did not do it correctly here either.

The correct way is Sweden in my book. After they locked down the old folks homes.

There is no rewrite from me; you have been rewriting to some degree all summer. If you look at anything Canada has said at any point this year, a second wave was expected. We have done staged lockdowns with targeted policies when there are outbreaks. In fact, half the time when you talk about what the US should be doing we are already doing it. In fact, the theory that Sweden and Canada have worldly different approaches to Covid ( since the first two months ) is a complete myth. But it's a myth you seem to need to believe in. How this helps you live your life I have no idea; like many of your theories on this site there is no practicality at all to what you think needs to happen.

Anyone reading your posts can recognize just how truly selfish you are on multiple levels. Just look at your attitude about masks and how you perpetually argue about it.

    not a rewrite?
You just hit all time highs in infections very quickly?

so once your hospital beds were not an issue.
    The lock down failed.

I argue about masks for the sake of our school kids.
They are going to suffer a lot of health concerns... and probably other issues...
because of the this stupidity and selfishness on the part of your team.

99.9 percent School kids don't need masks.
If you are afraid for your sake... or high risk people...
    let your kid stay home.

But don't screw up all the other kids.

    I kept my kids home.
Not because we are afraid. But because I don’t want them wearing fucking masks all day.
    This is better for them.
Soccer and tennis every other day with other kids to socialize (which is a bit lacking but they don’t seem to care).

You just believe in a lot of crap. The lock down in Canada didn't fail. You don't seem to understand second waves at all. Let's see the final numbers next year. I bet Canada has less deaths per million then Sweden. I bet Canada's economy suffers no more then Sweden's economy from 2020 to 2021. The US, you guys have screwed this up worse then anybody, easily. It's not my fault you guys fucked up. I'm not afraid of anything. I'm not on a "team", I'm not setting policy. Again, you are preaching your ideas and they aren't practical in the country you live in. You just seem mad at the world because of petty things like access to beaches.
