In retrospect, was there inside information about 9/11 and the stockmarket?

  1. The indices had all breached support, creating new lows 4 days prior to 9/11. The news media came out after the markets reopened and stated that there were going to be investigations against anyone that had major short positions on 9/11. What idiots.

Hell, if you held any major long positions on 9/11, holding them after ALL SUPPORT HAD BEEN BREACHED . . . you deserved what you got.

All of the indices had created oscillation tops that were all lower highs in August setting up a conservative short challenge that ended up breaking through support on 9/7.

The current pullback in the ES was read and shorted from the morning of 1/20/10.

You are so smart you have it all figured out don't you.

If you want some real education for a change, have a look at implosion of WTC7 on you tube. The impossible free fall of a whole building that wasn't hit by any plane. Have a good long hard look at your government and ask Why Do They Kill Americans Like They Were Sheep.

  3. Yes, I second this, please do not let facts get in the way of this looney discussion and conspiracy theory nonsense. If you use facts to make a point on ET you are in fact violating the terms of use.

  4. There were stories of massive option activity in airline stocks the week before, that should have been traceable.

Maybe it was due to the oscillation tops??

  5. Yes but as has been noted elsewhere this doesn't necessarily mean anything sinister. Someone noted large increases in put open interest in airline stocks, but that could have just as easily been a bullish bet (selling puts) as a bearish bet. Not that I trust the SEC to investigate it though....

  6. True, we were in MUCH better physical shape just prior to WWII.
However, after asking many old combat Vets just how they "did it", you know, actually WON the war, they all said almost the exact same thing.
"We were totally convinced if we did NOT win, our very way of life would cease to exist. We were scared, not so much for our own lives, but for our families and friends".
Total fear can motivate even the fattest 19 yr old kid to run and shoot like a fiend on fire.
