  2. Now I am tired of my work, as my goal is to be a great HF manager one day like Soros, Tudor.

    Subject: restructure of portfolio

    Hi,

    ... after the recent drop on bonds yields concern, the mkts structure has changed a lot. I am thinking of restructuring our portfolio:

    1. we keep the AOS, WHR as MT components, as they are stronger than index, and the potential is large in the MT;

    2. we will add some ADR shares (Korean, Japan, Latin America), as they are the most performing regions in the world: cf. POSCO, on which we have gained more than 10% in 2wks;

    Vivo Participacoes S.A. (ADR) (VIV)
    Brasil Telecom S.A. (ADR) (BTM)
    Kookmin Bank (ADR) (KB)
    Toyota
    KT
    ...

    3. Hot shares such as Kodak, NYMEX, we recommended since 2 days, winning 7%-9%; I am monitoring Ford & GM for a 2nd entry opportunities.

    4. Oversold shares, such as the construction sector, airlines sectors (we should wait for a further drop to limit the ST risk), and Melco PBL Entertainment (Macau) Limited (MPEL), Xm Satellite Radio Hold (XMSR), Sirius Satellite Radio (SIRI)

    Such shares risk are very limited in the ST, if we could see an acceleration in the ST, an upside correction would be expected.

    Yours Sincerely

    Hi,

    Strongly bullish, 1-1.5mth picking, risk limited

    WE BUY Eastman Kodak Company (EK)

    # TECHNICAL VIEW #
    A continuation H&S had been shaping. The upside breakout of the neckline, enables us to
    expect a recovery towards 30, then 30.91 in extension. Our stop loss is set at 27.1.

    # STRATEGY #
    LAST: 28.22
    ENTRY: 28.10
    STOP: 27.10 (-3.56%)
    TARGET 1: 30.00 (6.76%)
    TARGET 2: 30.91 (10%)

    ******************************************

    In fact, evrything is going well as I mentioned in my mail of June 15, except that on home building sector, the ST risk is more serious than what I had previewed. The strategy should be modified into an option strategy : short in the ST, long in the MT.

    insert

    you are OK if info is accurate

    but just so you know ET has seen better

  4. Thx insert, here is my blog,

    http://aswater-wisdom.blogspot.com/

    where I update my trading ideas.

    Sorry, where is ET's track record ?

    And personally, I thought making good strategies is more important than only a trading track record, regarding the portfolio size.

    I have nomally 40 core shares (in UK & US) in open positions, and a rotation = 14-21 days, with an average gain of 1.9-3%.
    The annualized gain should be around 60%, which might be good enough for an HF with a size of 100mln-1bln.

  5. HOV +20% last wk, on rumors W. Buffett would purchase a stake.

    I was ahead of the rumors by 2 wks.

    Home Building Sector reasearch: Risk Limited in the ST - High Potential in the MT

    Libellés : Home Building Sector, Housing markets, Real Estate

    US markets rose, led by oversold stocks, such as XMSR, SIRI, VRTX, moreover airlines Co continue to advance on JP Morgan's upgrade; and SBUX, MPEL rebounded. On the other side, the hot shares Ford and GM are going well, as mentioned.

    Our current strategies:

    1. LONG Automakers Ford, GM;
    2. Find an entry, to long on US airlines Co;
    3. Remaining LONG oversold shares: XMSR, SIRI, VRTX, SBUX, MPEL;
    4. Monitoring DDS, buy on a pull-back towards today's gap.
    5. In hot pursuit on Home Building Sector.

    cf.

    Pay attention to Homebuilding & Airline sector !

    LONG Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (VRTX)

    "Mortage Finance" & "Weak Housing Markets" STILL influence the equities market

    Restructure of Portfolio in June

  6. As mentioned (cf. previous message), AOS +20% since reco. for my HF client.
