In order for the EU to survive, it has to implement Fiscal Transfers

FX concepts didn't go bankrupt from what I understand. Taylor closed the fund - perhaps due to it's lack of performance but I don't think it was bankrupt.

You could be right. The hilarity, however, will be that Greece won't successfully implement these reform and austerity cuts, and the "joke" will be back on the creditors when we all revist Greece for the 4th bailout some time in the near future.

  5. Association agreement is completely different from being member of EU. So Greek-scenario's are exluced till they would become a real member of the EU. And that is still a very long road to go.

From what I hear in Ukraine they don't want to be part of Europe, they want to keep their independance but have better and easier access tp Europe for doing business. They want to replace Russia by Europe.
They are afraid of the huge amount of rules they should follow. Since last year they have to pay taxes if their house or flat is bigger than ...m², they have to show a registration if they want to change money, there are additional taxes on their mobile phone for pension.....
A few years ago they lived more like the Greeks, no taxes, cheating as much as possible.... With the new government all this is changing. Ukrainians don't like to live by rules, and that's exactly what Europe is...a lot of rules and a lot to pay.

My suggestion was to kick Greece out from the get go. Or implement transfer payments (which the EU is doing defacto anyway, with loans that won't be repaid).

They are not going to change. It should be obvious.

  7. I was asking what your suggestion is right now? Unfortunately we can't go back. Or how badly do you think the Brits would love to go back to change a few things in response to the tea party?

What's a loan that is not getting repaid? ;):D:rolleyes:

  8. Also many are forgetting that SOME now EU countries actually voted No to joining Europe,
    but still were forced into.
I am starting to believe that the EU was may be more a ploy to allow the eay raising of serious
    money.
