Reparations have a historic precedence. Germany after WWI for example and many others. There's talk of China paying reparations due to coronavirus.

So why the outrage? Is it because reparations don't make sense, or is it because these particular reparations to going to the black community?

    The former.

I demand reparations because I have some Irish decent and the Irish were treated poorly when they came to America, forced to work for pennies and not given the same chances because we were just a bunch of "Micks off the boat".

Ridiculous? What gives you the right to say that?

If you really were Irish, what would be the issue with that?

So do you believe Germany should not have paid reparations after WWI? That the federal govt should not have paid anything to Japanese Americans in the aftermath of WW2?

Where did I say ridiculous? Don't project on me because you are triggered.

I know you didn't say "ridiculous". I just figured you'd have the common sense to understand that my request for reparations because I was Irish would be seen as absurd. I apologize for assuming you had such sense.

Germany and Japan paying reparations for damage during a world war is just a tad bit different than the US practicing slavery. Many other countries also practiced slavery. Has any of them paid reparations for it?

And just as a side note, because I disagree with your premise and think poorly of you does not mean I am triggered. So don't be triggered by a perceived response, eh?

Because those were paid to victims that actually suffered, not their families (except in the case the victim died), grandchildren, or in this case great-great-great grandchildren. No benefit, except perhaps the relinquishing of land to Native Americans has been a "benefit in perpetuity" like they are demanding for "justice".

These are "equality of outcome" marxist handouts. Simple as that. This has gone from "police should kill less black people" to "let's give minorities special housing privileges, special job privileges, special speaking privileges, and special education privileges". These arent "reparations" because they aren't repairing anything. They are the systematic dismantling of the equality of opportunity that currently exists and replacing it with a neo-marxist "equalizer" that will just create two different castes of people and significantly more inequality. The only reason it's seen as okay is because in the current era this type of inequality is seen as "justice". Don't believe me that it's dismantling equality of opportunity? Check out this article on "Whiteness" from the Smithsonian. An eminent educational firm. Equality of opportunity and "rugged individualism", according to them, is a symptom of "whiteness".

Any argument for these reparations is an argument for neomarxism. When they're done with this, they'll go after everyone else. First "white people", then it'll be Asians, then it'll be jews. It has been this way since time immemorial. They will not stop until everyone they hate suffers. This is how marxism and far-left totalitarianism works, and why it's the leading cause of death in nearly every country that has adopted communism.

South Africa tried. We saw how well that worked. But of course the government says these crimes can't possibly be racially motivated. The same government who at one point in time had a party that used the slogan "One Settler, One Bullet".

    I saw that. So pathetic.

"Hard work is the key to success" is an aspect of Whiteness?

"Plan for the future" is an aspect of Whiteness?

Do these idiots not realize they are demeaning the very races they are trying to speak up for by saying these are qualities only Whites care about?

Convincing someone that there is a boogieman preventing them from achieving their goals is a form of victim mentality. One employed by marx himself. This victim mentality breeds resentment...and here we are. Numbers don't matter. Even if there has been actual struggle (and there was) the specter of a "continuing struggle" is what drives the marxist to this level of lunacy. Politicians only want to get votes. They will do whatever their constituents ask even if it goes against the core tenants of America.

Oh hold on here. So you admit I didn't say something that you imagined.

LOL and you accuse me for lacking common sense. Take your meds Gramps.

You say you are not triggered, yet you keyed in on my point about you being triggered? And you had to explicitly write about it? Talk about cognitive dissonance. I guess that's what cucks do.

There's so much maturity here I'm not sure where to start. First, when I said

"Ridiculous? What gives you the right to say that?" it was an assumption that you would find it ridiculous like I did, and like most people would. The fact that you found nothing wrong with it speaks volumes... :)

As for gramps, I'm in my 40s. What made you assume I was a grandpa or that old? Like, I understand when I make the assumption you're in high school from the high quality posting you do. But there's a little support evidence in that assumption.

Lastly, I do note your lack of actually addressing the core issue on reparation and my response. I take it that we agree, then? Since that is the important thing here and your little pissy fit isn't all that much in the contribution arena.
